As I am away from my Desktop PC, I have used a different (and unfamiliar) editing software, which just about managed to work with my old and slow laptop. Unfortunately, this video isn’t quite as good as usual. Hopefully you will find it useful, and enjoy watching nonetheless.

Right afternoon well it’s very late afternoon actually um here we are at crew motorcycle center again and Roger give me the nod about a new arrival let me show you yay y it’s a new Himalayan Himalayan however you want to pronounce it and these are going around the country at

The moment um each dealer has got them for a couple of days so that uh people can have a look at them uh Unfortunately they don’t run so we can’t take them out for a test ride but they are here to look at and we can turn the dash turn

The ignition on and have a look at the dash the clock so what we’ve got here is the this is the more expensive one the top of the range one which is the let’s get the name of it camt it’s the camet model and then we’ve got the cheaper one which is the

Hammer which I think looks absolutely stunning and just look at that just look look at the color of that with the gold rims um one of the main differences between the two is that the that one has got tubeless spoke rims around here there you go you see this spokes

Here so the rims are tube tubeless whereas on that one they are the original standard tube tire tubed tires um apparently I was reading Somewhere Only this morning that Royal Enfield will be doing the tubeless spoke rims as an optional extra for the other models so there we go so what do we

Think what I will do is um I’ll put the uh spec sheet we got this card here that’s uh whatever and I’ll put that into uh the video somewhere it’s a real step up isn’t it from the old one and we running uh shower show her suspension show her

Folks apparently this model is only just falling over the furniture sorry about that uh apparently this one is only just lighter a little bit lighter than the original uh but it’s a whole new frame because the the engine is now a stressed member I get on my hands and knees here

So there’s no down tube and there it is the new beating heart the 450 water cooled lump we got by bra brakes again nothing wrong with them and they’ll be doing loads of accessories for him as well how wide does that tank look looks really wide doesn’t

It so see if we can get on it there we go turn it on that’s a really really nice looking Speedo isn’t it it’s a mixture obviously well It’s All Digital but with the analog rev count it and then the speedo speed and then neutral so you got the gear indicator fuel

Warning very nice and and apparently again uh from what I’ve seen um you can link your phone up and have it turn by turn and and maps go on Google Maps because they struck a deal with Google apparently um one thing I will say that the seat you seem

To seems to slide it into it so yeah it’s very nice yeah do like that color that color is stunning the gold rims obviously there’s plenty of uh bikes of this with the gold rims but they’re very always remind me of the old yamar XT 500s back in the day back in the

80s really nice I like the way that the exhaust comes up now I mean God they got to have this gopping collector under there AR they really nice look at that how chunky is that uh rubbers on the pegs nice big shock there set on probably about the middle but apparently shower shower

Suspension on the rear as well at the welds it’s good quality isn’t it look at that yeah nice that the clutch cable takes a route that way instead of going that way way as they used to it’s a nice looking piece of Kit yeah I’m really looking forward I

Mean Roger said that he will let me know as soon as they get one and we’ll take it out for a demo ride very nice yeah and this this finish is like a yeah it’s just like matte if you uh if you look on YouTube I’ll

Put a link actually um itchy boots took one across the Himalayas and uh it seemed to stand up to the rigger so there nice oh grab handle for the um when you put on the center stand but these welds look at them belting let’s say it tires chunky nothing wrong with

Them be interesting to know what they like as a touring bike and uh you know for it’s like an adventure tour but without um going Offroad so much really good really impressed yeah the upside down folks look how chunky they are wow yeah it comes with The Bash plate plastic that

Is yeah gorgeous color that is I didn’t see one I didn’t go to the motorbike show so uh it’s the first my first time seeing it it is it yeah you got to be doing something serious to booger up underneath there don’t you very nice let me just have a quick look at

The weight curb weigh 196 kilos yeah so it’s not the lightest of the off-roaders is it but uh stunning stunning nonetheless right let’s see if I can uh I’ll take a photo of me sitting on it uh on the stand and off the stand so you can get an idea of

Height uh cuz I’m 5’9 with a 30in inside leg right so that’s it I think just a short one just to show it you here in the UK so if you want want to if you’re in the South cheser area and fancy having a look at it come to see Roger at

Crew Motorcycle Center West Street crew um I’ll put a link to the website below and uh yeah you’ve got to see them in the flesh because honestly they are far better than the pictures yeah I’m tempted myself now right thanks for watching please like comment and subscribe and uh

We’ll see you on the next one bye for Now

    1. They're great looking bikes and will do the job they've been built for, a better job than the Triumphs which I think are just a styling exercise to grab some of the 400cc capacity market sales .

    2. I went to see these two himalayans at my local enfield dealer a few weeks back! I have to say they are much nicer in person, worlds apart from the 410 which i have. In every single aspect of the bike is so much more superior…… Seriously, you could mistake it for a triumph if it had no badges! I've had the bs4 for 5 years now and like it….. This makes mine look like a pile of poop. I've just got to test ride it but I'm sure it will grab me. I'm 6 foot and sat flat footed (just) with the seat in the highest position.

    3. Hi Ian the black one looks for road use and the white one off road definitely upped there game but still need a bike that can accelerate quicker👍🏍️

    4. itchy boots completed 4,500km on her prototype [ genius piece of PR by RE in my humble opinion ] and she's a very competent rider and I noticed straight from her first ride on it while riding down this horrible gravely road, she went into tourist mode and showed her viewers the amazing scenery, you don't do that on a bad handling bike, looks like RE have another winner on their hands and if its under or around £6k mark, their gona sell shedloads.

    5. Well done Ian I really like the look of the black one Royal Enfield have done a great job with this new design and if you could get those gold rims in tubeless it would be perfect .I am not an off roader /adventure fan but these do look good even to me and looking at you sat on the bike tells me I might get away with that one height wise interesting ! .For sure it's going to be a battle between Triumph's 400's and Royal Enfield this year who's going to win that one I wonder 😉spot on 👌👍

    6. Great little review Ian they seem really put together well, thet extra BHP is a much needed thing and great for our UK roads, I still like the 411 scram and himi hope they bring out the scram 450.
Ride safe and shiny side up on the slippy cold road surfaces.😊

    7. Nice video I have already put a down payment on the Handle black and I opted for tubeless the total price is £6300 on the road , I saw it at the Motorcycle live and I just knew I had to have one , arriving in March can't wait

    8. Ian, thanks for the first look and feel review. Of course I've seen a lot videos from India but am happy that the Himalayan finally is arriving in Europe. As soon as it will be in Germany I'll visit a dealer and try whether it will fit my height (6"5')

    9. Like you said in the video we are also wondering how it does as an on road tourer any chance you take one for a spin and give is an idea of highway feedback vibes etc?

    10. I'm dying to know how much that stock header, midpipe with GIGANTIC catalytic converter and muffler weigh. I feel like a catless exhaust system is going to knock 50lbs off of this thing.

    11. I went to my dealer in southern Europe mid last month, full pricing to be released mid january. They are hoping to have them feb/march. The difference in price between the 2 models is 50 euros. Though they were not certain at that time if they had tubules or tubed wheels. Price was a smidge over €6000. (plus I presume registration etc). Still toying with the idea of a 411 to get me back on 2 wheels are a break for a few years, then getting a 450 in a year.

    12. I've seen a lot of comparisons between the new Himalayan 450's and the new Triumph 400x and I don't understand why. The two bikes are completely different bikes they arn't even in the same segment besides price. These new Himalayan's are ADV's laser focused in regards to offroad use where as the 400x is as advertised it's a scrambler meant for not much more then soft trails at best. I have no doubt the new Triumph 400x is a solid bike for the money but anyone who knows better knows it's a street bike trying to wear it's ADV dad's clothes that don't fit.

    13. The 411 looks a million times better, that looks shit. I read somewhere today about reports of knocking engines, cant find it now. Im waiting to see a CF Moto 450 MT in the flesh, looks interesting.

    14. Hi Ian, does look the business but it doesn't seem to have the Royal Enfield DNA in it for me. Yes it's a nice looking bike make no mistake about that but it looks like a lot of other adventure style bikes. I am going to my local dealer next Saturday to see them, will be interesting to have a look and feel of it and check prices and specs etc. I had the original Himalayan and loved the agricultural look and feel of it, speed isn't everything at the end of the day. You say you could be tempted, would you consider swapping Clementine for one?🤔 Thanks for posting the video. Cheers.👍

    15. Great piece of work Ian & thank you for pretty much a UK first view in main dealers. The only other footage I’ve seen on the Himmie 450 UK model was at motorcycle live, this bike is so eagerly awaited here and I can’t understand why RE are dragging their heels so much. I personally can’t wait to see one & hopefully try out a demonstrator but at the moment they are as rare as hens teeth and I’m not confident I’ll get my hands on one until April at the earliest. Just hoping stock will draft into the dealers very soon- fingers crossed.

    16. Great first look impressions Ian. That looks a fantastic bike and the quality looks very high. The 40bhp from the water cooled single I’m assuming will be similar performance to the Interceptor which is a bit heavier. I’m tempted with this for a Winter bike but then again I’m tempted with the Classic 350 too. I’m looking forward to your test ride. Keep up the great reviews mate👍

    17. These are the top Summit models. Hanle black is the most expensive. Both of these bikes can be ordered with tubeless rims. Ordered one of these in December 23, even though I haven't even seen one.

    18. Hi Ian…….bad news for me the gold tubeless rims are not happening this year due to production problem, i.e. finish coming off and wheels loosing air, no problem on the black rims……I'm thinking about cancelling my order 😢
