Moved On To La Rochelle Due To The Weather

We are forced once again to move on in search of better weather. So we travel to La Rochelle France where we enjoyed a cycle and a great christmas market.

Through France uh because of the bad weather um We snuck out to come and see the center of L man and the Christmas Market um and the weather’s just turned we’ve just sat down in a cafe and as soon as we sat down the winds picked up

The skies have gone a bit gray and uh yeah so I don’t know whether we’re going to actually stop on or not and I know these uh Vlogs are a little bit bitty and uh yeah we’re not really showing you around the places we’re at but there’s a

Reason for it it’s cuz we’re try to get out of the coals like I keep saying uh so we’re literally pulling up and sometimes we’re not even getting out of the van because it’s chuing down with rain and we just want to stop rest and

Move on the next day see it can’t make up its mind now the sun’s come out and I’ve literally just said it had gone windy and dark and now the sun’s come out so we’re heading in the right direction the sun’s trying to come out so we’re heading in the right direction

And we are trying to get into Spain but we’re still you know several hours off that yet so at least a two or three more stops uh overnights before we get there we’re going to see if we can meet up with uh some friends as well but again

We’re not too sure whether that’s going to happen or not cuz we just want to get out of this sort of uh UK style European weather and just get to the warm so you know I can get me my shorts on and show me bod off so we’ve headed into the the

Town center and we found L man’s Christmas Market here we go let’s go and have a look around this one doesn’t seem as busy as the one in rou uh but it’s still mid afternoon but yeah let’s go and have a look around the man’s Christmas Market Christmas

We’re staying in one of their airs for free so can’t complain Liam sure up it’s Christmas everyone else isn’t this it’s to be making our Christmas well good morning folks and uh welcome to larell um we’ve driven through the rain and the mck to get here and uh we’re a bit closer to Spain but we’re waiting on a few people arriving before we head on down so we had last night here and we’re going to have

Tonight here but I thought I’d take the opportunity to give the uh the old van a bit of a a wash but uh yeah it needed a wash down but let me show you the air in larell it is quite busy so as you can

See it is quite busy with Vans uh there are some electric pitches uh which is in with the price we’re on one of them uh cuz when we got here our batteries were quite low um plus I wanted to charge the uh Denise’s hand cycle and my scooter cuz we’re

Going to go out for a little Wonder uh in a little while and then there’s some pitches without Electric hookup and um as you can see the electric hookups there I’m just going to go and get another bucket of fresh water and uh it’s all in with the price

So at this time time a year it’s €350 so 135 uh per night so you come through the barrier take a ticket and then pay on your exit and they have um oh they must be over a 100 pitches so there plenty plenty of room and they also have proper motor home service Points so the air is quite close to the beach it’s uh about 800 M away and we’re going to go get our bike and scooter out and going and have a look and show you that a little bit later um basically go out of the site or the air turn right

And just follow the road down and you’ll uh end up at the Sea it’s been a long hard season I’m feeling wey to my b I guess that’s my reason I pack my bags and now I’m gone somewhere between the Sun and the deeper sea that’s where you find me tend and red flat out on a beach bed that’s where you find me working on

Sea my feet in the sand green umbrella drink in my hand that’s where you find Me So bikes and scooters are not allowed um in the Town Center itself so I’m going to lock the scooter up here obviously Denise will be allowed on hers um cuz it’s a hand Cycle So for a Saturday afternoon it’s uh it’s dead these like a couple of dozen people and none of the shops seem to be open one or two uh a couple of cafes but yeah nothing’s open we are in December though I mean I know it’s December

But you know I’ve not done me Christmas shopping yet Denise hasn’t got a present or anything and uh you better have gone to Christmas shopping have no Christmas shopping and she might not get anything at this rate cuz everything seems to be shot I mean I I don’t mind but you know uh

Denise might she might have some to say about it but you know she’s uh contending with the cobbles at the minute it’s making a tit Wobble I can imagine on a nice summer’s day walking along get would be beautiful I definitely should have brought me uh hat and gloves I mean it’s still nice I’ve uh locked my bike up I’m going for a little walk which is not like me I know but you

Know new country new me and all that but it seems to be a few more cafes and shops up here so let’s see how many are open so this seems to there be a few more people down this side of town a few more cafes and shops are open so maybe

We weren’t quite in the Town Center um yeah we’re going to carry on walking and see what we can see up here hopefully there’s another little Christmas Market and uh Scooter’s Galore not as fast as mine though is it yeah let’s have a walk up here and see what we can

See few nice looking restaurants very clean not see much rubbish or litter anywhere and there’s no smells either cycle paths are absolutely brilliant I mean the UK could learn something about the cyclopaths in Europe France and Spain you know Cycles have the the priority they’ve just got it

Right you know it makes life a lot easier safer and as you can see less traffic on the road they seem to have a little kidy fun fair going on for Christmas I don’t know if it’s permanently here or it’s just for Christmas but yeah nice little

Touch and they’ve got a big wheel I’ll show you when we get a bit closer yeah they’ve got a a l Rush l So we’ve come across a a little market well it looks more like a car of boot sale yeah looks more like a car of boot sale than a market but we’re going to go and have a look and see what there Is fore just looking at some of the local property prices and uh bit of a posh area I think €320,000 for this one 400 420,000 for that one oh look at that one there’s another one there 68,000 yeah think we have three of them D that one the Passport now she’s dragging me down the the back streets to the ass of nowhere I think no idea oh smells beautiful around here though all the cafes and oh see what going on oh nice statue in the middle the shopping area now so we no exced for Christmas found a shopping area now

Yeah it’s not out there no not happening not at these prices no you go there any that’s a proper girly shop right we’ve come to another uh what looks like a square and we’re just deciding which way to go because we’re about lost now uh it seems to be all little side
