Paul having been rained off earlier in the week we certainly need to win and win well to take any kind of Advantage down to to winborne road on the 31st of October for the second leg so both teams are as per program and this is a really
Fired up for it so let’s hope for some cracking action the track as in Tip-Top condition the natural watering has really helped us here tonight so we’re looking forward to some Splendid Speedway Steve is here with us tonight to capture some of the action so it must
Be a special occasion so let’s go to the pits now and join a few of the Riders Ryan Sullivan joins us now just been out to have a little dig at the Starting Gate what the conditions look like yeah considering the amount of rain they’ve had over the last few days I think
They’ve done a great job of repairing the track so it’s a little bit frustrating for all the competitors that last night was called off um it’s a disappointing really that the Ipswich fans won’t see the actual final but we’re still in for some cracking action tonight yeah that’s right I mean
It’s still a tough meeting it’s the Cup Final lucky to get it on today although the weather’s been good and uh yeah I mean there’s nothing you can do about the weather is there so uh you know it’s I guess it’s good for pool in a way we
Do get the final leg uh Foxhole is attractive consistently performed well at so presumably you’ll be passing on some of that track knowledge to some of the Lesser experienced Riders oh let’s hope so you know uh yeah it’s been okay for me I quite like the
Circuit but uh you know if you’re a strong team and um it’s quite easy to have a bad day but uh yeah I mean I like the place and all the boys are pumped up so uh we’re ready for a good one and you’re feeling fit we haven’t seen your course since you’re
Crash in Norway but um probably still a little bit sore no I’m all okay now you know it’s uh I’ve got over all my injuries so um already hoping to lead the pool uh Pirates to a double double which hasn’t happened for many no let’s hope so you know fingers
Crossed all goes well all right we’ll let you carry on thank you very much Pirates have already won the elite league so I’d really love to lift this one as well of course you know I mean winning the elite title is the main thing but I mean now when we are in the
Final you want to do they want to win that one as well of course we all witnessed the uh Zorro tears as you lifted the ambition well and truly and truly for you yeah that’s right I mean I’ve been in the club for nine
Years and we we were close to it 99 but they’re against Pittsburgh when I broke my leg and we lost it and uh you know I’ve always been one of the dreams to to win the title here in England and uh you know when when you’re lifting that title
Up the trophy up and you hear the noise from the crowd and so it’s just nice Paul had such a phenomenal year last year it’s very rare that a club managed managed to beat that what do you really think anything’s been down to down to 2004
I mean they’re always Keen to put the team together that can work together that’s not our just work for themselves and uh also they have picked the writers that can increase their average through the season and I mean they’ve been great to work with them full team because they they all want to
Win something and that’s good you know many people felt after Tony that’s why I’m in it’s not easy to fill the Gap from Tony but Ryan is a top class Rider and he really came in and did a job that we expect him to do so yeah it’s been really good
Up here it’s always tough to it’s always tough to get up here and be dipswesh you know but if we can keep it close I think we have a good chance to go back to Poland and win it but uh you know Speedway is never finished until

And where we told him the former Speedway Rider as well until the start of this season but he really has done fantastically well averages eight points per match for Ipswich this year he has been a brilliant comeback season for Chris and we’re no doubt he’ll be back with it

Early Heats but uh it’s going according to playing now it most certainly is and Chris he’s rushing out to watch the Riders In Action for Heat number six Ipswich as you can see leading by 18 points to 12 and the lineup we’ve got Ryan Sullivan coming here off gate number one looked
Very fast in his first ride a couple of races ago gate number two that sees Danny Bird he finished at the back in his first L team he’d be open to make up for that Daniel Davidson he comes out off gate number three he was paid second

Team riding there by the Ipswich number one and we’re delighted without a 10-point lead after six races can they build on that oh well Anderson there crying out he’s really really is totally committed to the Ipswich cause of course really is up for this meeting that were both sets of

Can do the rerun and when he’s made another brilliant start from the inside he leads down the back straight to Korean well he’s close enough to Scully but unable to find a way past Matty well he really is a brilliant startup and he wins a lot of races from the states but
It does sometimes get overtaken we’ve noticed Korea in Britain and not very often he does he is able to find a way past Riders I think he’s going to get a get past Scotty Nichols on his home track here we’ve seen the lead up nickels and I thought he’s going
To help maintain it his 10-point lead very pleased by the first half of the first leg of The Knockout Cup Final is gone let’s start the final lap Nichols on his way to his first big creeper and his second limb back back in third he’s
