So you’re going to Dublin, are you? Well that’s just grand. You’re in luck. You found the right place. We’re Marko and Alex. You’re watching Vagabrothers, and these are our top ten tips to doing Dublin like a local. I don’t know why I just did that. That’s so lame. Hey.

Number 1: the Guinness Storehouse. Now, we know it’s not the most original thing to do but it’s definitely worth a visit. The building is incredible. It’s full of all those great old Guinness advertisements. And they will teach you how to properly pour a pint. Step number 6: steady hand.

Present your perfect pint. But you forgot step number 7, which is a joy to Guinness. Step number 8: refill. Afterwards, head up to the Gravity Bar where you get amazing views of the city. It’s a perfect place to plan your next move. Number 2: Temple Bar As any Dubliner will tell you,

A pint of Guinness is only as good as the tap from which it is poured. So choose your pubs wisely. Many of Dublin’s most historic and legendary pubs are clustered in an area called Temple Bar. It’s got plenty of character, lots of live music, and it’s a good place to wet your whistle.

Number 3: Wake Dock Wash off your hangover by hopping in the water at Wake Dock, Ireland’s first cable wakeboard park. By the way, you should subscribe to Vagabrothers if you haven’t already We make travel videos from all around the world. Number 4: Drury Street. Warm up with a coffee at Kaph,

Which is on Drury Street, the center of Dublin’s creative quarter. Number 5: Irish Design All over the country a new generation of designers is putting a modern twist on Irish classics. Pretty snazzy, no? It all comes together in the capitol at places like the Irish Design Shop and Indigo & Cloth.

Thanks so much for everything. Irish food is also having a rebirth. Hello. How’s it going? How are you doing? Forget about corned beef and cabbage and try out lunch spots like Brother Hubbard or Fumbally, which is cool, creative, and cozy. For local cheeses and other Irish goodies,

Check out the specialty food shop, Fallon and Byrne. Number 7: Trinity College Head over to the campus of Trinity College, home to the Long Room , which you might recognize from Harry Potter, and to Ireland’s national treasure, the Book of Kells. Lines can get long, so head over early

Or book in advance. Scoot over to the left again. Shake it around. Thank you. Number 8: Literary Pub Crawl Oscar Wilde. Wild man. Ireland has produced a ton of writers since the Book of Kells, which is why Dublin in an UNESCO City of Literature. Now you’ll probably never read the notoriously

Difficult Ulysses by Dublin writer James Joyce, but you could go on a pub crawl of all the places Joyce wrote about. But who are we kidding? It’s just an excuse for a few more pints. Number 9: Ride a Bike A healthier way to see the city is by bicycle.

Pretty much allows you to see all the sites like the castle, River Liffey and the Grand Canal all at whatever pace you feel most comfortable. Mellow? Yes, please. Number 10: Make some new friends. The Irish are fun, welcoming, and full of stories. It’s never hard to strike up a conversation

With a stranger at a pub. Sláinte! Cheers. Sláinte! We’re on a boat! Well those are our top ten tips on what to do in Dublin. Please share your advice and comments in the comment section below. If you like the video, give it a thumbs-up, share it with your travel buddies,

    1. I lived in front to of Wake dock, right on Grand Canal Dock. i love fumbally and brother hubbard! Dublin is an amazing place for brunch spots, Herbstreet and Tang also have great food! I went to Uni in Dublin and more South for nights out compared to temple bar, like around Harcourt street and the pubs like Kehoe's, Grogans. The Fade Street Social is also goodd

    2. Hey vagabrothers is there any good hiking near Dublin me and my friend will be in Dublin this year for 3 night as part of our Europe trip and would love to get some hiking in while we’re there any advice would be welcomed thanks

    3. These are some great tips! I wouldn't send people to Temple Bar personally, but to each their own! haha I moved to Dublin from NYC about six months ago and I've been posting weekly videos of my travels around Ireland and Europe in general! My most recent video was in Dublin, too!

    4. My TOP are Kilmainham Gaol museum and the Book of Kells which are outstanding. Temple Bar area is about as inauthentic as Ireland gets. Full of American tourists.

    5. Your advice is usually accurate but not with Temple Bar, especially the pub with that name. Dubliners will tell you that it's an expensive tourist trap and that drinks are a hell of a lot cheaper in other bars a few minutes walk away. Plus, you'll meet some real Dubliners there.

    6. Dublin also has the largest public park in Europe. You can start your walk in Phoenix Park from the centre of Dublin and walk in the beautiful grounds until the park meets the countryside outside Dublin.

    7. And, some advice for male tourists…Don't try to out-drink the women. You'll be on the floor, while they're still knocking back pints and holding sensible, witty conversations.

    8. To all the people who have been to Dublin, how many days would you say are needed to fully see the city? I’m hoping to go there soon and want to plan my trip correctly 💪

    9. This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!

    10. Steer clear of Temple Bar. Over rated and waaaay over priced (I'm a Dubliner myself) Mulligans on Poolbeg street has the best pint of Guinness in the city and some great pubs up along Merrion Row and into Baggot St. Not as pricey as Templebar and more locals than tourists. Great spot to be when the 6 Nations is on. Could be English, French, Welsh, Italian or Scotttish visitors depending on who we are playing that weekend.

    11. o not rent your car from Avis, they scam you into buying their car insurance coverage which almost doubles the price of the rental. We have used Hertz in several EU countries and they let you use your existing car insurance on your car rental, no extra chargers like Avis.

    13. There isn't much to visit in Dublin but you missed the local parks like St Stephen's Green, Phoenix and the hidden Iveagh Gardens. In general, when you arrive to an Irish city they encourage you to go visit something outside that city and this tells a lot about how much there's to actually visit.
it's sad to see that Dublin city centre became a shopping center and a meeting point for drunkers instead of highliting the few historical sites. For non-europeans: do not expect anything like Paris, Rome, or Madrid in terms of monuments
