April 16th 2020. Day 35 of Estonia’s State of Emergency in times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

So we’re past the one month mark. And were also past some sad marks like 2 million confirmed cases and 100 thousand deaths. We’re past easter as well and this spring is definitely something completely different. Is there any hope for resurrection? Well, the number of new cases has been globally stable for quite a while now, so there’s some relief there … but how long is this thing going to last? Some countires are already easing restrictions and Estonia should be following in not the too distant future. But for the time being it seems like we’re going to have to live with the restrictions in May and June as well. You can sense that people are getting frustrated and bored. And this can lead to some dangerous leaps of fantasy. Like the 5G conspiracy theory.

I took my bike to Nõmme in Tallinn to sit under the pine trees and rant a bit how we’ve been doing here in Estonia these past days. So welcome to volume 1 of the bicycle diaries here.

    1. So much is a lie, hospitals empty, laying off workers, no obituaries for the supposed "dead" ..here in the US. I'm not saying that noone died but the current deaths and healthcare crisis greatly exaggerated. Perhaps something more will happen in the near future, maybe the real virus, way too much doesnt add up….

    2. Oilver, so far I assert your vlog as one of the best sources to learn about Estonia, culture, education, politics, healthcare, geography, Estonia with statistics and many more. I want to appreciate your effort in giving detailed, well researched and legitimate contents. Could you please do similar content about Tartu City, University of Tartu, Living around Tartu, cost of living and places to go along with Covid-19 related information.
