One um that’s pretty cool I didn’t even know I had them I need to ask a question cloud with rain coming off basically all weather you can play in these in the rain in the rain so these are um Sai sort of Aqua grip kind of thing

Basically uh roll finger um right tell me talk to me tell me about the differences of yeah these These are roll finger so you can see the way the the grip rolls all the way around each finger individually roll finger mate the best without fail um the reason why it’s

Got the rain on it because you’re playing in on pitches that will whether even if it’s not raining they’re going to be wet because they water the pitch yeah so you need to know that your gloves are because you can get so many different types of gloves you can get

Them for dry conditions you can get them for hard ground all that kind of stuff yeah you can get them for like six of side pitches and stuff like that cuz you might be playing with you know you might be playing with those horrible balls

With the grips on it or you might be playing with the tennis ball looking balls yeah so you can get gloves for them sort of them conditions as well I’ve always wore these gloves though roll finger Aqua grip wet conditions always they are thing of beauty is what

These are How many pairs of gloves did you go through in the season um at least 30 or 40 really oh training training Le at least 30 or 40 back in the day I used to wear a brand new pair of cloes every game every single game I

Remember seem to remember like people coming around your house and stuff and you’d have two or three pairs on like the radiator and stuff but am I right in saying you used to go in the shower with them yeah after training or a match I would go when I’m going to get showered

I would leave my gloves on basically while I put my gloves on and they say goalkeepers are mad but it’s the best way to clean them hey literally but naked but with goie gloves on but it’s the best way to clean them so you’d get in the shower and then

You’d put a load of shampoo on it whatever it is and you would be washing them whilst you in they on your hands and that’s the best way to clean them in the shower but naked in the shower but naked it’s it’s not a thing you know I

Mean and a thing genuinely no one cares um but then like I said you take them off you’d ring them out and make sure they’re damp still um and that was the best way of cleaning them yeah cuz you so you like to wear them damp didn’t you

Yeah I like to wear them damped but you can’t put them in a washing machine because it ruins the grip you can’t you can’t sort of like quick dry them because it will make the latex crack a little bit so you just always try and keep them damp always try and keep them

Why would you want to wear them damp they it offers a bit more grip on the ball offers a bit more grip you want them to be a little bit wet a little bit moist basically cuz that’s why you see goalie spit on their gloves yeah it it

Offers a bit more grip a bit more grip I’ve got a shirt here from um the 2014 World Cup in Brazil this was one of Stevie Gerards um oh nice match shirts um so I don’t know if you can see that number four Stevie J

Um I got him to sign one of his shirts after the game to uh my son Louie um and again I had all intentions of getting this put up in his in his room and all that kind of stuff but it says to Lou best wishes Steven Gerard that’s pretty
