CCTV footage shows a gunman opening fire in a newsagents following a spate of shootings in Liverpool on Wednesday.
An individual, who is wearing a green hoodie and flip flops, stares down the barrel of the rifle and then lets off a shot before walking away, security images show.
A 49-year-old man has now been arrested after shots were fired at three locations, Merseyside Police said.

This is going to be normal, we will have the same murder rate as a country as the state of New Mexico soon and guns are illegal here. Our murder rate is 10 per 100,000 (2023) and the state of New Mexico is 15. Vermont, a state in the US where guns are completely legal is 3.2 and used to be far lower but had a recent spike in 2023 (sources: Stats of the states – homicide – Mortality 2022 – STATISTA RESEARCH 2023)

All that in the country with one of the toughest gun laws in the world, where decent folks can't even posses a can of pepper spray to defend themselves against the criminals.
