1992 Diamondback Sorrento 650b disc conversion w. Troll Fork. Hi. Sinces I’ve completely changed the geometry on this bike (and it works really well), I’m curious to know what other/newer bike frames this resembles. What’s the best way to draw/caluclate/compare bike geomotries? Thanks.

Bikeinsights.com has lots of premade examples, but also allows you to input new bikes with your own custom measurements.
I have a sorrento with the same paint! Love that bike.
I put a slightly longer fork on my 93 GT and found that it really toned down the twitchy NORBA XC geo.

This one works, but you’ll need to measure the old fork if you really want to know what the troll is doing – I assume it’s quite a bit longer than stock which could’ve been in the 390 range. You can see in the photo how the top tube is tilted, and I bet it’s more comfortable on flat ground with the slacker seat tube & higher stack – especially with the drops on it, but could wheelie pretty easily going up
As for the wheel size that will not change the geo except for raising the bb, and you can just measure that if you’re curious
Great build. Just curious, the rear brake says it’s the mountain version that uses mountain/v-brake pull ratio. What brake levers did you get that do the v-brake pull ratio rather than the canti/road pull ratio?
I’ve got a rockhopper I’m looking to convert to 650b, by moving the canti bosses, but it’s a slow project as time allows, hopefully have something rolling by the summer … of 2024 … but maybe 2025.
