    KAPITEL
    00:00 Intro
    02:50 Etappe 1
    13:10 Etappe 2
    20:08 Outro

We are Anna and Daniel and in August 2023 we will have our cycling trip on the Green Velo cycle path started in Poland, of course we had to get there first and that’s why we have ours Packed our things and then took the train from Flensburg to Hamburg from there

We booked a flixbus with bikes included and it really did everything Worked well in Hamburg and the bus driver even came to us half an hour before departure and worked with us to attach the bikes to the rear. Overall, there was room for them

Three bikes but we were the only ones who had a bike with us on this trip We started on the longest part of our 1300 km long journey to Warsaw We stayed there for a while and waited for the second flixbruss after a

Things went a little differently with the bikes, so there was no luggage rack We got a bit of a shock at the beginning but we were able to get our bikes Just put it in the luggage compartment, it worked quite well, you just have to be careful

The bikes cannot slide back and forth during the ride and then it worked Finally we get to the starting point of our route to Elplag in the north of Poland on the Baltic Sea It was pretty tiring at almost 16 hours and we were pretty exhausted

We have already rented a small room from home at the campsite in Elbelak We then stayed for one night and had a little rest and also had a bit of a break Elblack is a former Hanseatic city and has some really nice corners

It’s definitely worth seeing the old town because you can do a little bit Stroll through the streets and the cathedral is also quite worth seeing But the best thing was that the campsite was very centrally located and everything was within walking distance

Before we actually get started, what is the Green Velo? The Green Velo actually is with around 2000 km, that depends a bit on how you drive it, the longest since 2015 Bicycle path in Poland it starts in the north and then you continue east

Along the border with Kaliningrad then turn south and then drive along the eastern one The external border of Poland continues along Belarus towards Ukraine before heading into Kapaten Vorland comes and slowly turns towards Konski and then arrives there at the destination

In the end everything didn’t go as planned, but there’s a lot left to see Fun the final touches and then we’re off to day 1 today Grünvelo Good morning, we packed our things and started driving straight from the campsite

I think I’ll just go through the city briefly and then we’ll really start the first stage of Green Velo we’re really excited and I hope we’ve chosen a cool route We also rode on this bike path relatively unprepared, so of course we know

Where we are going but we don’t know anyone who has ever driven here I read a few reports beforehand that sounded really interesting Yes, the first impression was definitely really nice here in Elplag and we’ve also seen a bit of something with the flixbusfah, so see you later

We are slowly rolling past lplug and now we are here on the track The city is slowly getting a little smaller, so there are so many relaxed parks here yes, I’m very excited after 2.5 km you can’t say much yet but we’re right

Bock, we’re now out of the city, we turned into the first forest and it’s straight away Climbs but the weather is really good, it’s almost 20° here now, so we can do that too

Short things can be nice and relaxed, but I have to think about it a bit first and get used to it I’m really preparing to be on the bike for four weeks now I’m curious to see how this will develop and what the sleeping options will look like

Because we didn’t book anything in advance, we roughly looked at where we could sleep not yes and compared to the last tour a bit has happened again on the bike I also got two bags I now have Not necessarily more than before, but I can distribute the food a little better

M then comes in front of me and I have the things I need faster at the front and don’t have to take the whole pack down first, I think that’s pretty cool but that Of course, we’ll first show that there’s always a station here on the green bike that isn’t one at all

Officially, there are always rest areas every 10, 15 to 20 km, um, we already have them There were also tools, you can sit under them if it rains, which is really cool We’ve done 10 km, so we’re not quite that far yet, but we’ve got the first one

These paved paths here are a bit crazier than in Germany But it definitely fits with the new tires I have, it’s not that annoying with them It’s a little bit wider at 45 mm and that’s really noticeable. I’m really happy about it

So let’s see if that’s going to cause trouble or if they’re nice dogs yes, nice, hello, you’d rather be oh, so everything okay 10% Slope na flat h pole ne and first impression good first impression but also strenuous, there have been many steep increases [music]. Yes, we have about 40 km behind us now and we are still on our left the whole time the fresh ha and really nice and easy we just have a little lunch break a small place was just made again just briefly on the beach but

The landscape is really really beautiful, you can’t complain about it, so it’s really nice here You immediately looked at what percentage of incline that was 11 or so for me again 12 shown we are now basically just before fromburg, which is also a small mini town

Let’s take a look and then drive 50 km to Z accommodation because it’s not quite 14 more So we are behind fromburg on the way to our accommodation We got a room for today but it looks okay After a thunderstorm, we take a short break and have another meal Little extra bread and everything you are there hungry, yes, I need something too

And then we continue on, back there is fromburg again see and we are now driving towards the border of Kaliningrad and there we have it an accommodation I guess another quarter of an hour and then we’ll be there and we drove about 70 km today, which is really a good one Prelude

Day 1 is now coming to an end in the village we stayed here and are now walking We’ll walk around the area for a bit and then we’ll cook a little bit again Well rested but day 1 was definitely really varied and had

Extremely fun, good weather all day and now you can hear it in the background There’s a bit of thunder again so it’s probably a good thing that we’re here today To be honest, I’m really happy about not having to sleep in a tent [Applause]

Should go home for us D will be cooked then that’s it for day 1 and Then tomorrow we’ll continue on stage 2 bis Then we were just doing some shopping in the village and now we’re off to the Second stage today at the border of Kalingrad and it’s going well

Come on, you don’t have a cell phone network anymore, so it won’t bother me, but if so If we’re looking for somewhere to sleep later, it would be good if we could We can see a bit in advance what that is like, but somehow everything will be okay Work [music] Quite close to the border with Kalinrad at the moment, Anna is currently in the headwind but yes That works so we continue and I think I have a crack in the rim I hope that’s the only thing that worries me a bit at the moment

That maybe that’s not the figure, something else but I know it I couldn’t even see the quick one tonight Peace and quiet I think bowls are likely to be heard from some exercises they’re somewhere on the border but I don’t really know that but It sounds like machine gun shots, a bit strange

It feels like now shortly after 12 we’re at a small rest area that’s actually here times regularly there are but just a longer yes a longer area without in any case are We’ve already driven 30 km and only in the first town was there a rest area. Let’s see

And then eat a little something but it’s really nice to drive at the moment you can’t say anything, it’s really really cool, the drivers keep their distance for the most part The streets are quite narrow but we’ve got most of the paths open so far

Our own bike paths brought huge fields here behind us, so I think such big fields I’ve never seen anything fall where you look and they’re in the middle at the moment The harvest here is all gone but yesterday we saw the tractors and

So so we found it now there’s a little something sweet very nice bon appetit gives me something to say I ate a delicious berry and now it’s here Gravel back out of the city but with tires everything

Tippip 47 km behind us let’s see how much it will be today I have a campsite like that I picked it out and it’s 86 km away. Let’s see. We’ll take the forest if we dare I don’t know that yet here in a field like this and we’ll try our tent here later

Fighting wildly for the first time feels a bit strange, but that’s it The place is actually quite relaxed, now we’ll eat in peace and quiet 6 p.m. and after dinner we set up our tent, hoping for a relaxing night

What’s going to happen today today there’s a one pot with tomatoes and a bit of zucchini Add a little sausage and the remaining spaghetti and then it’s done delicious garlic good [music] a on here boom, as long as no one comes from back here, everything is okay, even though we have

On the other side there is also a Kiner passage and there is one Let’s take a look at the energy can, it feels good here, I’m FH, I’m quite okay, but that’s okay Unusual for me, I have to say, I think everyone has to go through it

Yes, already visiting from re is a bit confused about what the people here are Want

Gruß Martin on Tour
