It’s time for a new project, and it is something a little different to bike builds but still a 90s throwback!
I am super excited about building a full-on ’90s factory Suzuki box van – right back to my heyday, but the twist is I want it to be able to convert back to a standard box van when I need it, i.e., everything can come out by two guys within an hour. We got some fab Bott cabinets, and my old Suzuki box van is the inspiration behind the whole thing. Let’s see how this goes!

I take you behind the scenes and show you some of my factory wheel collection; I am sure some of these will end up in some special builds somewhere along the line. We are talking full factory Honda wheels with factory DID rims, factory YZF blue rims and exquisite engineering, KHI factory Kawasaki wheels, factory Suzuki wheels with gold rims and something I have never seen before. I also show you my favourite wheel of all!

We are flat out on titanium, supplying bolts and hardware to teams and riders worldwide; we also make tools, including our titanium T-bars. We have had some very special team requests over the years, including Valentino’s Rossi team and, more recently, Factory Kawasaki.

Oh yeah Rob from do Rob this is my new project I’m really excited about it since Fox Hills my OCD has been kicking in I have to have a new project to work on so I’m building a box van fullon ’90s mcross Factory Suzuki box van uh I was

Actually one of the last teams on Suzuki 125 to run a box van in 98 99 they all went semis and uh it all went kind of everything changed then so we’re building one uh we’ve got connections with a few people so we’re going to make it as much like a night as

Box van as possible but the twist is I want it so we can take everything out and use it as a normal van for the 50 weeks ends of the year when we’re not doing Anything So the plan is we’re going to build a box van full on America 90s Motocross Heyday of the sport in my opinion we’re going to build a box van have it so it’s completely Ked out same as a factory box van but we want to have it so everything

Can be took out with two guys within an hour so the van’s back to normal use um so it’s a double use so we started off with a low loader Renault van bought from Stafford sales will Hill looks after us there with our vehicles um hard to find these that haven’t done a

Million miles so we’ve got one that’s gone sensible mil on 18 plate um I’ve been looking at these low loaders for a little while um I’ve been driving a Sprinter for 10 years H they’re great but they’re not that easy to convert so I went down to bot in uh bu and they

Hooked us up with the cabinets I had a good measure up and everything so they always look after us have done for years so we’ve got that handled um we’re going to do the layout very similar to my old Suzuki box van the only difference is they were just made by Carpenters they

Weren’t that special inside really um my old boxman is still driving around Southern California people keep seeing it here and there sending me pictures and I always wanted to buy that back but the trouble is that thing’s 25 years old now it’s been used as a carpet Fitters

Van and they do about eight to the gallon plus you got to get it here and all the emissions issues I’m like you know what let’s just do a modern take on an old box van so the thing does sensible mileage you’re not getting leftand Drive gas guzzlin thing it’s

Going to be all right I’m excited I know what it’s going to look like and so I’m it’s going to be Mint So currently this is in its first fix stage if that’s what you want to call it cabinets are not even bolted in uh we cut the cabinets to fit over the wheel arches uh F of mine cookie cut the countertops we’ve had to go for relatively thin countertops cuz the

Weight so what we did is we filled the van full of fuel put a bike in it all the cabinets drove it to a w bridge and we’ve got just under a ton to play with so we got plenty of time before we’re up on weight so that’s good um so we’re

Going to empty it out now put the electrics in sort out the cabinets get them all so they’re bolted in bolted out uh there’s a few little scratch and dents I got to take care of on the cabinets because I get them on the I get

Them cheap so there’s always a bit of work to do but um I’m really excited we’re going to strengthen up the side door which is incidentally we never had in our box fand but this one’s quite a lot bigger so we got a side door to play with uh

We’ve got some LED lights to go in some flood lights to go up top we’re going to have an easy up out the back it’s going to look full on 90s boxman so I’m Excited so while we’ve got them Ma I thought I’d show you some of the uh oh itchy NE we won’t use that bit then so I thought while we’ve got them here I’d show you some of the uh evera special Wheels we’ve got full Factory un obtaining them can’t buy them even if

You wanted to um off with Factory Honda usually the uh highest point I guess of factory parts so HRC Wheels um Factory did rims with special a rib on the rim here to stop the tire coming off the rim should you have a puncture uh or Billet Hub

Machined uh B retainer on the disc side um or brand new Looking ready to go in these are 02 to4 fitment CR125 cr50 cr250f fcr 450 uh the rear rims are a 2.15 so it is too big for 125 really unless it’s hard pack so they are beautiful as you would expect with

Factory Honda um I don’t know what we’re going to use them for but there’ll be a project here along soon Enough so these ones Factory YF uh 18 19 I’m guessing um as with all Factory amaha stuff exquisite engineering beautiful um blue Rim so you could fit them on a a YZ with a wheel spacer um they’re just really really pretty wheel um I’ve always liked the factory amaha

Colors they’re just a little bit off standard color but just just tricky amaha stuff is always really nice so they’re just really nicely engineered really nice made piece um say these are not a aftermarket Hub Rim combo these are full Factory so you couldn’t buy them if you wanted to um

Very nice very nice indeed so onto Kawasaki now khi factory wheels these are brand new 252 stroke wheels from 05 06 so anything from o02 to 07 but they will for kxf um they’re ball L because the discs different size here to standard so you got to get discs made or

Find factory ones but the engineering on them again is exquisite um hard do make a very good Hub which is much like a factory wheel these are genuine khi Factory ones H they’re slightly differences you can see but uh these are the nice Factory bronze color these ones are kxf wheels

15 16 kind of era um Kawasaki one a few years with earlier than this 13s they were blue hubs then they went green um the Green’s really hard to get the right color again different size discs to standard um so I don’t know what we’re going to

Use these for but there’ll be a project along soon enough I’m sure so Factory Suzuki Wheels big difference between 250 well two stroke and fourstroke the factory Suzuki rear hub was magnesium four bearing um very very trick they did crack once they got a bit older you really wouldn’t

Want to use one now um obviously the factory color rim these are supposed to be not available anywhere but I’ve seen a few people do get the hands on them I don’t know how um so that’s the proper proper mag rear wheel never got used which is really unusual this is the

Factory front wheel two-stroke front wheel with a big disc on and the Machine balanced Hub like I did before I’ve showed you again factory color yellow gold rim that’s what the race teams used but and I’ve never seen one of these until I pick this stuff up this is a

Factory front two-stroke Hub which is I didn’t think existed race teams never used them so it’s a MAG I think Hub um factory rim um like I say never got used in Anger um just testing as far as I know um and then that goes onto the RMZ

Wheel now the RMZ Wheels were matching pairs the two strokes were never matching the mag rear was bronze the front was production the RMZ had a matching pair so they were beautifully ched this is the color scheme um front and rear we do have new ones um got some

Used ones as well luckily um but they were ever so nice people always say to me when I build RM wheels don’t match well they didn’t so it is what it is RM Zs yes they had to match but tricker than these is my favorite thing in the

World is this which is proper unavailable that is a 20-in rim in the factory yellow gold color oversized Factory disc Billet Factory Hub never got used and it’s even got a hand cut Dunlop tire so you can imagine the working cutting that out uh the 20-in rims were really popular in the early

’90s which we tested them uh they were great on hard pack hard pack but as soon as you got a rut the tire was so wide which gave you the good grip on the hard pack it started climbing out of the ruts so nobody really used them um so there

Was a lot of I think Kawasaki back in the time you could even buy these as an aftermarket part um so they were going mainstream and never really took off never really worked so this wheel is crazy trick that’s the trickest thing I think I own so simple things make me

Happy it’s just a it’s just a trick thing and it’s just the work and the money involved you can’t imagine how much money they would have charged for that tire considering like a factory tire isn’t available anyway and God it’d be thousands would It so just one little thing these are ever are cool things we made we made these for uh Valentino Ross’s vr46 mot GP team um they wanted long 8 Ms for the front fork pinch bolt so it didn’t hit the front tire uh We’ve also made some 7

Mil ones for a few bolts around the bike but they’re super cool so we have got them for sale if you need uh we sold quite a few to Road Race guys padet team have had them and Factory uh Yamaha super bike quite a few guys have had

These uh these are a similar thing which we designed alongside the factory mocos guys especially factri Kaki guys they’ve asked for a tool they can use to change the front end cuz quite often they’ll change Forks well this will do pinch bolts without hitting the tire and also

Do the um triple clamp bolts without without catching the hangle or the lever so basically they have that in the drawer just for front ends and they they need that and a 22 mil and the whole front end will come out so uh we made some extras just in case anybody wants

Them but uh they’re pretty cool so anyway that’s it for this month this week that’s it for this uh episode and uh like And subscribe and I’ll see you Again
