All right mud lovers how you doing you find me once again down on the temps foreshore about to do the old mud Ling which means looking for anything old and interesting on the riverbeds once the river has receded normally I drive up but today I rode up using my brand new

Electric bike provided to me by the lovely people at sa Russia yes it’s called sa Russia different spelling though so what a better way to get to London to Pursuit my favorite hobby stick around because I’ll make some awesome discoveries but first let’s get a closer look at the new mug

Mobile well we’re just having to rate through this uh these Pebbles here to get down to what we film might produce some coins or get some BS I just discovered this little chat I can see some markings on it come here come here oh woohoo it’s mad got in there yeah pretty

Cool it yeah lamp of Crut of a nice coin in it well here it is let’s get it unboxed inside this box is a sa rushia Ranger electric bike well this is exciting it’s heavy which means probably substantial in quality too oh my God oh there it is co size of those

Wheels oh yes they got the right color well I can’t I can’t lift it out so I think I’m just going to cut the sides of this Box cool I know what that is so looks like a very comfortable saddle foot pump now what about that for a color eh cool as well she’s free let’s got to find the instructions for it now aha tools kit so what’s in here instruction manual that would need that PES Allen Keys RI

Thing that’s pretty cool and loads of other tools you’ll need to get this thing up and go in right oh there’s a head torch and a couple of wing mirrors and some bolts and screws what’s in this thing charger I think for the battery yeah should be quite easy to put

Together should just be a case of putting the handlebars in there and charging it up everything else is done for you even comes with a set of keys for your battery take them off so you don’t have to leave your battery inside but battery goes in

There if it’s charged up or not probably half charged as they normally are yeah it looks really good so first impressions great can’t go over the size of these tires like riding a motorbike reat and charge before the first flight ride flight make sure pedals are tight make sure front wheels

Installed properly and tight be sure to check the ties are inflated properly learn how to use the LCD display where a helmet Okay Well my lovers that took about half an hour I think all the instructions are very clear it’s just Allen keys and a few bolts and you’re ready to go so just need to charge up the battery read up on how the LCD LED um is it LED or

LCD LCD screen Works uh just familiarize myself with that and I think we can give it a little test go or just go straight down the tens with it eh I fancy taking this bad boy right into town so we’ll see how far it can go how comfortable it

Is how enjoyable it is how robust it is I’ve got some other bits as well I’ve got some pineer bags that I’m going to add on in a little while um but first let’s get back the battery charged up and um I’ll put the rest together in a

Bit exciting times and doesn’t it look the nuts I love it I love the orange it’s really well built it’s quite heavy to be fair so you won’t be able to fling it over your shoulder and take it on the TR train as easy as you think but um I

Just think that just goes for Quality it’s designed to go on the road um you know these tires are very substantial very reassuring great grip it’s almost like a motorbike but electric few dials there little horn light brake shouldn’t be too tricky to figure out give it a Wh So we’re all pack to ready to go bought myself a chain got my spay there fits so nicely onto this uh this rack here paner bags nice and secure filled with my gear that I’m going to need plenty of room in there for knee pads headphones yeah finds pouch tripod that

Sort of thing key in there the bright modern LCD screen tells you your speed total mileage trip mileage which I forgot to reset max speed and average speed so let’s get to mudlock In this handsome bike costs £ 2,799 with a range of 56 m per charge this makes it a very economic way of getting around the build quality is superb and the chunky 4in tires make going off-road a dole I certainly put it through its pieces through deep puddles and boggy

Ground and it cruised through with help from a 250 W Motor it’s solid so you feel really safe and the front and back suspension removes any worry about potholes which we suffer quite a bit from from in this country it’s got an intelligent torque sensor system meaning if you pedal

Faster the motor helps you move faster which gives you a more natural riding experience well I’m on the super cycle Highway in London and this thing is fantastic it’s got a really good acceleration all you need to do is press these buttons and that turns that up from one

To five get really quick takeoff see if you get an idea of how quick this is ready fast so we’re up to 15 mph in about 2 or 3 seconds and we’re wizzing along all in all I’m loving it so far it’s nippy it’s bulky loads of room for storage brakes

Are good the gears are good and the batter is seemingly very good I think I’ve gone about 10 miles and used about just over 10% of the battery so yeah proper W with this right let’s whiz and a little Hill up here no problem at all for that and

Again we got another little Hill coming up there I’m literally having to do no effort whatsoever that was easier than riding the bike let’s try the horn now see what happens yeah that works this thing does turn head though people do like to look at it it’s a very aesthetic looking

Bike so even even he was looking so uh yeah it’s a lovely looking thing robust it’s getting me up to London in a jiffy so I can see it’s coming in really handy so let’s go to the temp meet up with Jules and Poppy the dog do a bit of mud

Locking so little update 62 mes miles in total minus a 45 there previously so nearly 20 mi and it’s done 20% Which is awesome oh mad time to be stop in let’s crack on well my lovers M to location number one what a beautiful ride that was I’m absolutely refreshed don’t feel like

I’ve done much really just may be gone for a walk you know like when you normally go on a bik ride you’re pan in and puffing get up those Hills but this made so incredibly easy and really comfortable as well normally the old saddle starts to hurt but this has been

Absolutely lovely 20 mi not a problem so I really put it through its Paces earlier getting it really muddy it done really well for those Parks really comfortable ride only buies got clean up now I do like mud but not what it’s on my bike now let’s go meet up with jwes and

Poppy and do a bit of mud locking down there we’re looking for the mystery and the history and we’re going to get some luck in the mark let’s do It say hello to everyone Joes good morning everybody hope you all had a lovely Christmas and of course we have poppy what you got poppy what you got you come play in fores sure is it a gasket actually no it does look like open something it’s part of something isn’t

It they cool I know could be something like that could it what you yeah they’re really cool binocular possibly very small pair of eyes it’s not a gasket is it no I don’t think it’s a gasket it could be a gasket actually yeah might be yeah part of the

Head gasket that’s what it is is it oh fair enough it looks cool though suit me lovely Yes actually make make me look more intelligent I might start wearing glasses from now on well look we have a clay pipe hopefully hopefully complete well it could be a it look like

A Victorian one from where I’m standing uh hopefully it might have bit detail on could just be a plany might just be the bowl oh there we go yeah first little pipe of the Day little plain one oh it’s got a little bit of pattern on that side little roll you’re imagining

Friends again Simon I’m talking to all the YouTube uh followers they love me seeing them love finding a pipe it’s mad how it’s got in there eh yeah pretty cool it that yeah lump of Crut with a nice coin in it to it young man just spotted this

Look it wouldn’t it be lovely if it was a uh Sovereign yeah it’s a uh it’s George it’s George fth yeah yeah wedged in a piece of crud I don’t think that’s going to come out very easily you know well we can smash the vegetas out of

It yeah I kind of like it like that yeah polish up nicely oh I there’s another one there but I think it is now do I crack it open or do I leave it like it is what do you think guys comment below crack it open leave it like it

Is so here’s a closeup of that coin in the crud it’s actually a Georgia fifth Farin and it dates to 1911 to 1936 so been in there probably about 100 years the reason why it’s stuck in there is because it’s actually a large Bol and the bolt has then attracted rust over

The years and then somehow the coin has made it on top of that and then fused together then it’s been knocked free and then rolled around the temps for decades until I’ve come along and found it so I’m not going to knock the coin out but if you think otherwise please leave it

In the comments below well right next to that I just SP a little green flash of of glass and look that is a beautiful well I’d say it’s a couplink uh or stud hey stud yeah no comment that’s really sweet I’m not sure if it is Georgian but uh

Not Georgian well they they usually are these little um these little pieces but who who knows um could be Victorian could be Georgian it’s definitely a couple of hundred years old that’s sweet it’s very very beautiful color can’t quite appreciate it cuz it’s uh doesn’t show up very well on camera

But trust me it’s really really beautiful he’s like a little Magpie today has been out for a while so he’s very excitable what’s this talk to me well I’d say it’s a little bit of a tree called glazed teapot probably made in the north of England certainly not a

London item she looks very happy with herself didn’t she what’s she holding there just like she’s stirring oh she’s got a te herself I think got a teapot nice there you go you’re a little teapot short and St dump an iron rod on the oh very good just going find you a proper

Stick I love Jews but he brings poppy along and then I end up playing with her so we can carry on m l in uh great method great idea Jules so he’s there busy busy busy and right here we have a expectant poppy you expectant oh don’t little bit of soft wood for

You course you do oh terrible throw I mean and then repeat bring closer good girl there’s something interesting in there is worth worth an explore I suppose don’t know it’s just a bit of rubbish but or is it a piece of black bass outwear maybe I reckon it is what’s that what’s

Black is like Wedgewood or whatever it might be I don’t know yeah want to take home and research perhaps it almost looks older than that doesn’t it but bit different as juul said this black Bassel wear was made by Wedgewood and was introduced in 1768 originally for creating portrait

Medallion and also used for home wears such as vases busts and table wear Josiah Wedgewood said that the black is Sterling and will last forever well not in this case jiah but we love your style mate you’re on the pot today mate on the pottery yeah there seems to be a bit

Pottery here there seems to be a bit of a mixture well we have a little pipe let’s Che this out the way I might just be able to plug that straight out oh so I can same as before very cute Victorian beautiful well we’re just having a rake

Through this uh these Pebbles here to get down to what we feel might produce some coins or bit some Bobs I’ve just discovered this little chap she’s a belline face he’s really cool pretty rare actually don’t come up very often some people find him a lot but not me but so I’m

Really happy with this the best part of The Jug possibly the two eyes and the nose and a bit of a beard lovely 17th century actually it’s quite an unusual color is it Joes it’s white nice it’s got a nice light glaze on him yeah normally they’re like a stone wear

Yeah we like it made in Western Germany these Bartman or bellamine jugs also known as witch bottles were used by superstitious people practically everyone then in the 15 and 1600s people would fill them with human urine human hair toenail clippings pins ribbons and other things and then bury them under the thresholds of

Buildings to keep away evil spirits or then smashed during ritual which is why they are very hard to find complete I just fli this over looks like a cuffing oh that’s nice looks like wle w-e I don’t know I think that’s possibly Ivory or maybe actually mother of pearl

Sorry and uh a bit of ebony in the middle perhaps unusual little design so spot to find it’s very very hard one uh PA it if you want anyway I’ll reveal it to you now that is a bead did you spot it would on if you did not you again

Yeah dog it’s got literally a crumb of wood left was to play a game called I don’t want to play it I just said we’ have a little guess guess the length mate yeah so so I’m going 4 in oh I are I’m going I’m going no exaggeration on these

Lengths know light yeah I’m going to go I’m going to go three oh promising still promising you know what right this could be complete still still there mate look yeah I think you’re you’re on you’re on uh on course to win still there son oh no it’s there a bad you know

That’s I don’t know I don’t know that’s between three and four we call it that’s nice yeah 16 1660s maybe later but yeah it’s all right it nothing on it though but no makers marks or names on this number still nice to get them with a bit of

Stem on them really yeah yeah mate it’s a present oh thank you very much a little button up it says H Boyd H boen Sydney Square I think he is he yeah Sydney Square do you know where Sydney square is jeles probably in central London somewhere yeah Sydney

Square is still there and it’s in White Chapel London could one of these houses be the home of our buttter maker well just there look is a little thimble covered in crud you know what I thought about breaking off some of this mud but I

Think I might have to get that home and get it clean where it’s going to break if I don’t do it properly so I you put this in electrolysis clean it up and you can see a bit later nice little thimble though prob the 1800s good spot what

It so I decided to use electrolysis to coax off the crud that basically means running a small current through the object in warm salty water now this thimble was a little bit worse for wear it’ been stuck to that crud for a long time that’s because the tip is made from

Steel and it attracted a lot of rust so I got to a point where I’m happy with it and it’s good enough for a display well my lovers what an epic model like that was and we’ve only just started so back on the side russan bike

Going to go up stream now to another location and get some more luck in the Mark I should say as well that I’ve actually replaced the uh standard lamp with this one this is a really nice extra beautiful lamp that you can put on

To it a little added extra so I got one of those worth the money really Bright oh just like that and we are at location number two no complaints it’s perfect ride I love this bike so let’s chain it up now get down on the fores shore and do some more mud lcking well a little search around here nice bit of metal work lovely old ships Nails bits

And Bobs and just down there just see a little button and I’m going to see if there’s anything on it share it with you for the first time lot of these are plain oh nice look at that lovely anchor button there Royal navy button that’s really cool probably uh

1700s that’s a great little find look at that beautiful complete with shank as well perfect hello sailor on the theme of uh the Navy these copper nail sometimes has a broad arrow on not sure if this one has or not this is pretty mad all this here is old

Leather poen out it’s like there was maybe a Tannery or something around here perhaps back in the day pretty cool might be a little gem amongst it if we keep on looking old bones yeah really interesting erosion going on around here well just notice this thing

Sticking out the mud and it’s got like a sort of groove on this end which suggests it’s some sort of tall uh hopefully you can get it out without too much trouble already started to move a little bit hopefully we can loosen it up oh yeah it’s quite loose now

Don’t know what’s going to be on there it might be one of those uh stor hooks God it’s bit stuck come on oh yep I can see the s’s moving there we go oh that came out quite freely oh wow oh wow what is that that is very peculiar

Well looks like some sort of piercing device I don’t know I’ve never seen one of these before obviously made of some sort of hard wood maybe it was uh for piercing holes or maybe it’s a rope splicer getting the knots out of rope don’t know very interesting little thing though very happy with

That now it’s made of wood so as it’s made of wood I just going to take some doing to preserve that make sure I’ve uh keep it wet for now and then um going to get home Dr out really slowly cool eh and talking about the military button there and I talked about

The nails but this one does have a little broad arrow on it I think it’s just underneath the there it is look just underneath the um top of the nail there to know that this was a military issued copper nail pretty cool don’t all they don’t all have this

Mark on so these ones are bit on the rarer side very nice too very nice strange little star shape on the end of this stick it’s made of wood stick your nail in it anybody know what could that Be not a bad little lock that now off to location number three this take you to the Tower of London Not sure I should really be cycling here I’m probably going to get to off in a minute sorry problem get to Off bit for down there is absolutely amazing but we’re not allowed to go down there which is a real bummer it’s off limit so got to keep heading further west but sometimes that’s some really good days down here in the past we’ve had really good days out it’s all

Organized in the past by the museum and other other companies other authorities and yeah but it’s all limit so frustrating it be rude not to uh admire the wonderful Tower of London while we’re here T just over there and uh people have been looking at the bike

More than they have the tower I’ve been getting a few nods of appreciation for a very handsome bike was I just Me here we are location number three not too far from uh Center town here she’s done really well today really happy with her going to lock her up get cracking do the third trip of the day well I was just detecting got signal I

Just I took the I know half an inch off this little thing popped up and it’s a button and I just had a look at the detail and I can’t see anything on it but it does look very nice could be another Naval button perhaps but it’s pretty

Cool I might give it a quick clean up in a minute and see if there’s anything on it but I’m not sure if there is either way sweet little button 1700s again happy days we just detecting against this good old wall here and got a signal and it turns out to be

This little heart pendant funny color I think it’s a locket actually gave a good signal I don’t know if it’s silver or not do a little test if there’s any Hall marks later that’s a cute little find I might find the other half if I’m lucky F got a funny brown color don’t

Think that’s supposed to be the color it is so it might be tarnished a bit if it is it might be silver Happy Days how romantic well I was just having a little scrape around here this has flicked up see that on the end of my

Trail that could be a little hammered C coin look at that it’s so small I can see some markings on it oh come on come here oh woohoo that is a tiny little silver hammmer just saved it look at that beautiful little detail I think I’ve seen these before I

Think I might have found one years ago but not in a long time I think it’s little Charles Charles the first I think I don’t know if it’s a penny I think it’s a penny the smallest one of the smallest Hammer coins you can get really cold and a bit

Shaky and that is a beautiful little coin cool now what I lost it look how tiny it is on your finger why are they M wonder why they make coin so small still got lovely detail on happy with that this certainly is one of the smallest Silver Hammer coins that were

Made and it dates to the Rain of King Charles no not spanel it was minted at the Tower of London where we just were which means it hasn’t traveled very far it’s got a Tuda rose on both sides and is in great knit considering it’s nearly 400 years old

I’m always amazed at the treasure the temps throws up and if you want to see more Mega mud Ling then click this link now and for links and offers to the S rushia ebike then check out the video description below thanks for watching my lovers and I’ll see you on the next mudventure

  1. Looking forward to all your adventures in the New Year! Love the bike Have been looking at getting one also , as it will get you access to places more easily. Thanks for inviting us along on your adventures that are always witty, interesting and full of surprises.

  2. Happy NY to you Si , Just watched this vlog , love the bike , great colour combo too ! In 2003 we moved from NZ to Cornwall , amongst our possessions that were packed was a beautiful clay pipe complete with a bearded head on the bowl , sadly the pipe was either taken by a packer or thrown out with paper etc when we unpacked at our new home , can you please advise where we may be able to purchase another ? We now live in Queensland , Australia . Cheers for any advice .

  3. Double chain it, always make it a pain in the knees to take away. At least one should be hex chain. Hex chain is difficult to cut without a grinder.

  4. I use one to up untill I give up smoking the pipe they are still made various places around the world. The question you ask about the Bailpin you stick it in a malia rope to undo wet knotts or splicing rope. Ask a ship chandlers there are still some around London the hand cut nail in your hand where used in the building Trades until 1886 after they started after those round nails made form wire.you will find lots they still use them only nowdays they shoot from Airgun gas. Happy New year enjoy you hobby I'm as old as mathusalia and thats old.

  5. Dont know if anyone noticed, but when sci found that pipe bowl with the bit of detail (only the rim was showing) in the first third of the video, if you look under the rock in the bottom left of the shot, you will see the brown glazed "woman with the tea pot" shard.

  6. Gasket that looked like a pair of glasses is from a Petter engine. I have them on my A and A1 engines but there is a water cooled version that mayvbe used for Marine use
