I decided to end the year with an adventurous challenge: the Rapha Festive 500. This means cycling 500 km in the last eight days of the year.
Make up for a wet winter week of cycling through the beautiful landscapes of Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands.

Pain focusing on the task to be done which is another 20K and then I I’ve done 500 km in 8 days it’s been one hell of an adventure one hell of an exploration I’ve ridden through a p two national parks I’ve been to cities I’ve never biked before places I’ve never been Before Wo it’s almost over now a mother nature sure didn’t make it easy to me this week good Lord it was wet it was cold it was windy had a bit of sunshine a okay I’ve done 20K I hope there’s a bar where I can cross the road to the other side safely
Ah and then I’ll head back home I think I see a crossing over there This is it the turnaround Point the furthest I get today oh I can’t believe I’m almost there thank you and I’ll finish it off with a bit of Tailwind didn’t expect it I decided to go this way because uh because uh that would be a side wind I don’t really mind a side wind uh it’s actually
Quite a sheltered one as well going through the some M of forest um but well even a little bit of Tailwind is very very Welcome I’ve just stopped to turn around the camera again but can you believe it ending enough with a bit of Sunshine oh this feels good this feels good almost done look even a sheep are encouraging Me And 45 miles to go another 45 miles before I’m home almost there 1 and 1/2 km to go I can smell the finish line and guess what it’s sunny more or less I’ve made it there’s 39 km on the counter and you won’t believe it but my
Camera actually turned off as soon as I wanted to turn it On That was it 500 km between Christmas and New Year’s Eve I’ve done it I finished it it was a good day today I didn’t really feel my knees my butt didn’t even hurt well slightly but not as much as the as the past couple of days and my bike is
Cleaned and yeah I’m must say I’ve uh enjoyed it partly there’s been bits that I didn’t enjoy that much especially with the with the knee pain uh which came a bit of this uh as a surprise cuz I didn’t expect it to be as hard as it um
Well turn out to be um the first couple of days were brilliant I think the first 3 days and then after the the big 83 km ride to the Beast boss um that’s when I started to feel it uh in the end um and it didn’t really go away but all in all
I made it um I’m it’s time to recover now for a couple of days I won’t be uh cycling on on this bike um there’s a new adventure waiting for us um which is actually going to be pretty pretty soon um this bike will be involved as well so
