Riding the most dangerous roads in Europe with a pillion – Romania

Join me for my experience with Tour1 as we ride further into Romania and hit some of the best and most fun roads in the world . We take on the Transfăgărășan highway and the Transalpina both of which are full of incredible twists, switch backs, and boasting with some epic views.

This is part 2 of my 8-day adventure riding two up on a Harley Davidson Road Glide that is 10x my body weight across Romania with Tour1.

Not only do we tackle those epic roads, but we traverse the beautiful Carpathians Mountains and get time to explore some of the top places to visit in Romania like Draculas castle, and even an adventure through the stunning scenery on horseback.

Many people have asked me about my jacket and my riding shoes that I was wearing in Part 1 and throughout this Romanian adventure. My beautiful sahara coloured jacket, is the Elena jacket from Furygan and my riding boots are also from Furygan. Oh it is our day off day today which means we’ve got two nights in the same hotel and we are in Transylvania which means we are going to get on the bike go about 20 miles and go and see Dracula’s castle now from what I understand the

Guy that wrote Dracula had never even been here but his surname is the same name as the castle there’s a whole load of like Hocus Pocus free hopefully we’re not going to die going to Direct’s Castle but we’re going to give You Okay so I’m in Dracula’s castle there’s the there’s a whole two different sides of this story because this is actually a legitimate Castle here in Romania in rum and it was built in the 1370s there’s loads of history behind the queens and the people that lived here but what we

And leave her to It We are in some of the most beautiful Tristy roads you can see a hair here behind us and we’ve just stopped at a Lookout Point it’s starting to rain which is devastating but look at this place woohoo I think it’s like icicles the water roofs are coming out it is cold it

Is cold they’re having a picnic I think they might end up packing up okay I think I need one more Poes deploy the rain jacket deoy the [Applause] jackets absolutely typical we have just put all of our water pofs on and guess what’s come back out the sunshine the whole group is now going to be sweaty legged waterproof T leged People oh yeah work it you look pretty cool on that bike what did you think having to go on caramel I think I like it it’s quite heavy but it’s I think I like it a lot you look good on it it’s the fact that this doesn’t move

With the bars makes it so nice there is a full review of this bike on my YouTube Obviously we’re having a go not go not eating session this is how you refuel roadside but it’s about to get really exciting because we are very very close to the start of the transfer Garrison Highway oh we’re going to see Bears have a boat

At the top and everybody’s here basically there it’s just Mayhem uh we’ve left massive gaps in the group just try to weave and get through but yeah we’re up front Charlie right now is trying to work out where we can pull over but I’m thinking we probably just

Want to get to the hotel because we’re going to come back and do this road tomorrow really really early and there’s going to be a full video of why this is possibly one of the best riding roads in the World if you are ever thinking about doing the transfar Garian Highway you have to get your bottom out of bed really early because this is the chaos that you’re going to be in if you don’t get up early we have been filtering for the last hour doing it the

Good news is we are doing it tomorrow and we’re going to get here at the bird of crow chicken roll morning to avoid the car but that looks like a skel eletric Tracka Okay the sun is only just coming up we’re on the very first section of the highway now and you can see how beautiful it is but but can you hear that that is the sound of us having a private road there’s no one here that is why you get out of bed really Early This rid is epic Oh dance there’s a bear there is a bear we’ve found him I’m silly enough to get up close I’m not because the man will want money from me but it’s not a real bear don’t be fooled but we did see a rear barar yesterday a bell a real bear so a real

And it’s worth stopping here if you come through to have a coffee but again make sure you are are here early because the world and his wife will come here and they’ll interrupt your Coffee Is a donkey little donkey little donkey trust me I’m a donkey Wrangler go Wrangle Him oh oh my God whoa cheleda Highway and we’re on the top of a massive Dam if you go that way and then that is a long way down Wo N look at that view trans Alpena road is definitely worth coming to it’s so good it’s really windy but it’s so good I’m going to do a full video on why you come do the transen highway and I promise you I’ll put the mic on for that so you can hear
