Walk along the floodplain in Rhenen during high water. The floodplains are filled with water from the (Lower) Rhine. Beautiful to see! Fortunately, it did not cause major flooding for the people living near the floodplains. In earlier videos, where I walk with the dogs near the Rhine bridge, you can see the difference. Our walking path has completely disappeared. The parking lot at the restaurant on Veerweg/Rijnkade is completely flooded. The decking at the marina has been removed. At the stairs you can clearly see how high the water level is. The bicycle path at the Cuneralaan is just dry. If the water level had been a few centimeters higher, this bike path too would no longer be passable.
