Hi guys and welcome to your viewing of the Eclipse building in Cardiff. So this is the reception area nice and bright plenty of spaces for you guys to sit down and come and enjoy the social areas of Eclipse. I’ll just quickly show you around there.

So at reception there is always someone here 24-7 to take in your mail parcels, let you into the rooms, answer any of your questions and any other issues you have really when you’re living with us. So just heading around this way I’ll talk you a little bit

To you about the building itself. So the building is 686 rooms very big site plenty of different room types as well so we’ve got anything from studios to studio plus to your shared apartments So just showing you around the reception area got a nice seating area

Over there which you can take advantage of. You’ve got a coffee machine which is free from 8am to 10am every day so you can grab a coffee on your way out to your universities. Just heading down this way so on my right hand side here we do have some mailboxes

And we will take in all your post packages and we will post these into your mailboxes like this and any big parcels we will take in the reception desk and keep hold for you guys. So at Eclipse you do have plenty of social spaces you can take advantage of

All part of the price and all in use 24-7. Some of them you do have to book at the reception desk, some you’re just able to go into. So this one here is one of our study rooms, we do have two at Eclipse

So this one is the social study or study room one as I like to call it. It’s just got this one you don’t have to book out, you can just come down whenever you want. It does have some plugs here

And some USB so you can stay charged up as well. You’ve got a nice view of the outside area just nice bright. We do have aircon in all the social spaces as well so it doesn’t get too warm for you either, okay. Just a quick view down there.

So next I’m going to take you into the private study room. This one you do have to book out. This one is a little bit more for group projects, things like that. It’s got the TV, it’s got a whiteboard wall as well, okay. Which looks a little something like that.

And then this is the room itself, okay. So again a nice little study room for you guys to take advantage of. Really good for group projects, revision for exams, anything like that, okay. So next up I will take you in to the cinema room. Give me two seconds.

So this is your cinema room. Okay. So you do have the big screen up there. So perfect for watching any of your films. Good, really good sound system in here. Aircon. And some comfy seats and tables for you to sit and eat your snacks as well.

So this room you do book out with reception. It’s 24×7, okay. So if you just want to come down and watch a film you’re more welcome to come down and take a look at the air. To make use of this room, okay. Just heading back out.

The next room I’ll show you is the private dining room. There is something in there at the moment but it might just pay a little visit. So also while we’re out here, this is one of our courtyard areas, okay. So this is your own private courtyard. We have two eclipses.

So it’s perfect for when the sun’s out you can come here and relax. There’s plenty of seating areas, barbecue areas and we’ve got the ping pong table which you can also use while you stay with us, alright. So this is your own space, so don’t be afraid to use this area either.

Just heading into the dining room. Okay, so this is a lovely space for you guys to use. To this side is your dining area. So you’ve got all your cooking facilities, you’ve got your induction hobs, ovens and grills there

And a microwave. You’ve got plenty of cooking facilities. You’ve got a dishwasher in here, ice machine, big American style fridge. There’s all the cutlery ready to go. Alright, it’s just been cleaned. We do have a cleaning team on site so the building is always kept for high standard.

Just heading in here, I know we have got someone in here. Hi, are you okay? So this is one of the students obviously using this to study at the moment but this can be used for a dining event if you wanted to, get your friends around, cook some food.

It’s a nice area just to chill out and relax. Thank you. So heading back across the courtyard, I’ll take us in, you can have a look at the gym and then we’ll go to the karaoke room which is one of the busiest rooms in the building I think.

So just heading into the gym area. So here you’ve got your fully equipped gym, okay, 24-7. It’s got all the machines you could need. You’ve got your cardio machines there, you’ve got your running machine and then you’ve got your free weights area, okay. This is again 24-7.

You can book this out as and when you want. At the moment we are currently doing it on a booking system. Hopefully by September we will be able to select as many people in here as possible. So this is your gym area.

You can also connect to your Netflix or put your Spotify on the TV. Alright, so you are able to listen to your own music as you work out, okay. So going back out into the reception area, I’ll take you to the karaoke room.

So this is then the karaoke room which looks a little something like this, okay. So this is a perfect space for you guys to take advantage of. It’s got the big screen up there. I’ll just switch the light on so you can see that. Alright, so there is the big screen.

There is your karaoke machine over here. So you can book this out with reception. Again it’s 24-7 so don’t be afraid to make use of this. And you’ve got a lovely little area then for all your friends to chill out as well, okay. I’ll now take us over to our party room.

So we are really lucky at Eclipse to have such a really nice room. Just get through. Speaker systems, alright. So you’ve got the big speakers there. That one over there. It’s a really cool room, alright. You’ve got your seating area, DJ booth. Some more seats up here and then your bar area, okay.

The bar isn’t equipped but you guys can get your own drinks in. And there’s plenty of space to keep those drinks cool because we’ve got an ice trough there. And you’ve got your ice machine just at the back and plenty of fridge space.

I’ll just switch some lights on so you can see behind there. There you go. So you can see a little bit more behind there now. You’ve got your sink. You’ve got your areas there. Alright and there’s a brighter view of this room, okay. I just double checked that the signal is back.

So again, this is our other courtyard. I showed you one earlier. But this is the other court, private courtyard for you guys to take advantage of. Same sort of layout, nice seats. And the table tennis just around there, okay.

So heading round we have got a lot more seating area around this way, okay. And another big TV for you guys to take advantage of. So this is our little games area, okay. So you have got two pool tables over here, a food pool.

Just a nice little area for you guys to come down and use. We also have a photo booth on site. So if you’re afraid to take some pictures, to take memories away from university, okay. And your time staying with Eclipse. So the next room is the laundry room, okay.

We’re really lucky to have a really good company on board with us. Which keeps these machines working 24-7, okay. And they have really big drums as well, okay. So you can fit loads of washing in there. So you don’t have to do, you’re not constantly back and forth with your washing machines, alright.

So they are charged at £2.60 for a wash, £1.60 for a dry. And if you do forget how to use them, there’s some washing and drying instructions there. And how to get started with the laundry card there. So you do get a laundry card on check-in.

Which you’ll be able to update with money as or when you feel fit. So the next thing we’re going to go on to is the rooms. So I’ll just take you down the corridor to our studio plus. I’ll just get that up for you. Scan yourself in.

And then in you go to the room, okay. So I’ll give you a quick pano of the room. And then I’ll talk you through some of the rooms features. So this is our studio plus room. £1.83 per week, okay. And that £1.83 pays for all your bills. Including your gas, water, electric.

And then also on top of that you get access to the amazing social spaces that we’ve just seen. Our events calendar which is exclusive to Eclipse students only. And we also have insurance under that as well. So you get up to £10,000 worth of insurance for all your items in your room.

If there was any damage due to water, things like that. So this is the kitchen area of the studio plus. Okay, so you’ve got your sink area. Plenty of storage above there. And then you’ve got your fridge freezer there. Alright, so all nice and neat here. And then you’ve got your induction hobs.

Okay, so make sure you get induction pans. You can buy these for your uni kit out as well which we have a deal with. So don’t be afraid to take advantage of that. And then you’ve got your microwave oven there, okay. And that’s a combi, okay. So you can use that as well.

And then you’ve got your breakfast bar. Alright, so perfect little space to chill out and eat your food. And then moving on to the bed. You’ve got the double beds, okay. These are hypnos mattresses. Really comfortable to sleep on. You’ve got under bed storage and overhead storage.

And all your lights and plugs are just behind your head. So you don’t have to move too far. All our rooms do come with smart TVs. Alright, this is a show flat so you won’t always be dressed like this. So just for you guys to understand that.

So you do have your double beds. And then you’ve got your smart TVs. Plenty of desk space there. So we do have our study rooms as well. But you do have a nice big desk area in your room. So you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to.

So you paint your drawer space there. And then you’ve got your double wardrobe, okay. Which looks a little something like that. Moving on to the bathroom. Okay, so in the bathrooms you do have a nice bright room. Plenty of mirror space. Like so. And then you’ve got your power shower there, okay.

Which looks a little something like that. So that is your bathroom area. Is there any questions at all guys? Just to try and fill the space in a little bit. So that is your studio classroom. Priced at £183, okay guys.

The next room I’m going to take us across to is a shared apartment, okay. So this will be a six bed en suite. So if you wanted to share with friends that would be fine. And you know we do have the availability on these room types as well.

So at Eclipse we do look to put on our own events. And our concierge are really helpful in pointing you in the right directions. To any good events around the Cardiff area. And basically knowing where to go and what to do within the city. Universities are pretty close.

So Cardiff University is about a five to ten minute walk away from the building. And we’re really close to Newport Road which has all the bus routes getting to the university. We also have a bike rental system that you guys can take advantage of. So you can rent the bikes out from reception.

And they come with a lock so you can cycle around Cardiff. Go visit friends within Cardiff and it’s a nice quick easy way to get around. I may lose collection when going to this room. Okay if you do need to self isolate I can see somebody asking there.

I’ll just slow down the walk as well. So self isolation, yeah we can do self isolation for you. There is a little bit more information on our website. So there are some rules for D02 when you do self isolate.

If you do isolate we will bring your parcels and your food deliveries to your room. So you don’t have to worry about that then. So the next room we’re going to be heading into is a six bed en suite. Let me just get that up for you.

So this is the six bed en suite. So first of all when you enter you’ll be going into the kitchen. So that’s communal area okay. So this is the kitchen area of a six bed en suite. And then down that end is your communal area.

Alright so we’ll start off in the communal area. You’ve got your sofas, you’ve got your smart TV up on the wall. So this you know sharing with a flat of six you want to be part of a community.

It’s perfect for you guys to sort of chill out here and chill out and watch some TV. And get to know each other. You’ve got your dining table okay. Obviously. And then you’ve got your kitchen where all the food will be prepared and made. We do have your fridge freezers.

Nice big area is okay for you guys to store all your food. And the building, the kitchens are really good for storage. So we’ve got the big cupboard space here. Which you guys can use for whatever you want. And then you’ve got the overhead storage there and the storage just below there okay.

Plenty of preparation space on the top as well. And then if you head over this side the cooking facilities. You’ve got two induction hobs okay. Like that. I’ll answer the self isolation in two minutes okay. Let me just show the facilities of this room.

And then we’ll talk for the isolation a bit a bit more. So you’ve got the combi ovens there. And then you’ve got the traditional microwave oven there okay. The six beds are really good because they do come with their own. Dishwasher okay. So you don’t have to wash up too much.

And it’s a nice little space for you. You do also have a sink there. Plenty of storage above again. And all our six beds are really nice and bright rooms. So you do have two views. One’s courtyard facing, one facing out of the building. This is the corridor to the six bedrooms.

You’ve got three and three on either side. So just heading into one of the rooms. So this is then the six bed ensuite room okay. Again same standard as the Studio Plus. Obviously just a little bit smaller. And you are sharing some of the facilities.

Okay so you do have your smart TV up there. So just connect your Netflix and your way to go. Same double bed okay. Nice comfy mattress. You do also get the under bed. So you can have a little bit of a nice little bed. Okay nice comfy mattress.

You do also get the under bed storage with these rooms. Overhead storage there and all the plugs and lights are just behind. The desk space is slightly smaller. But you still get the drawer set up. And the nice desk to get any studying done. The wardrobes are exactly the same.

So you do have the big mirror in there. Plenty of storage in the wardrobes. And then just head into the bathroom. So this is your bathroom area. Okay. Nice big power shower. Nice big bright area again. Alright. So this is your six bed ensuite. This is one five eight per week.

And we do have availability for if you wanted to share with friends. We can allocate you with a group of your friends. And you just want to book together. Okay. Let me just turn the volume down on this. So we can answer some questions.

So I did see some questions about self isolation with us. As I mentioned there is a little part on our website that you can take a look at. There are some rules to adhere to. If you do want to self isolate with us. It doesn’t come at any extra cost at all.

We will provide the room for you. And then you are expected to order your own food deliveries which we will bring up to you. We will be as helpful as we can throughout your isolation period. Any COVID test things like that we will deliver to your room.

And we will try and be as helpful in giving out any information regarding isolation periods within the UK. Okay guys. Is there any other questions at all? Yes. If you wanted Chinese roommates that’s not a problem. When you go through the booking system. If you go through review homes.

They will contact us and let us know that you are looking for a specific room type. With sharing with just Chinese people. We can do that for you as best as we can. We will try and keep everybody happy. Is there any other questions guys? No. Okay guys.
