Join me on a crazy motorcycle camping trip where we riding through crazy mud and deep sand! During our moto camping trip we will grill steaks for dinner, and enjoy an amazing campfire breakfast. Adventure moto riding on the South Carolina Adventure Route (SCAR) is always challenging in the sandhills section. This was a challenge for sure. We’ll ride through mud bogs, the sandhills, and everything in between. It’s going to be a wild ride! The steaks at night were well worth it.
The forest service roads are wet and muddy and it gets interesting. Once I cleared all the sand in the South Carolina Sandhills we finally start making up some time. We will call the Francis Marion National Forest home for the night.
We’ll also be camping in the middle of nowhere, so you can see what it’s like to live the rough life. We’ll cook food over a campfire, sleep in tents, and tell stories under the stars.

Welcome back to the channel guys let me start by saying not every day goes as planned we’re on a little venture today uh got started pretty late uh the morning just kind of went on a little bit I was going to use some new luggage on the bike uh that didn’t quite work
Out the way I wanted so I got my standard luggage back on after a couple repacks got on about running 3 hours late but we are on the scar today looking for a bunch of fun that is the South Carolina Adventure route we’re going to do an overnight I have no idea
Where I’m going to camp but we’re going to find a spot um hopefully we can get there before dark or find something to do just kind of running late but always time for an adventure let me show you what we’re going to be running on today most of
It as you can see is going to be very soft sand so I’m not going to be going anywhere too fast pulled over for a little bit of a break here still got to find a spot to eat um yeah but let’s hit the uh let’s hit the sand and have some
Fun and see if we can find a campsite and get this done before it gets dark out come along guys you can tell by our surface area here this has been soft we are getting thrown around a little bit having some fun just got to end up finding a spot before it gets
Dark I don’t think that’ll be too much of a trouble but I expected to be here about 3 hours ago absolutely gorgeous find some place to eat we’ll take you guys overnight do a little uh cooking tonight a little campfire cooking right the back country South Carolina is always gorgeous this time of
Year all the cotton ready to be uh combined and put together oh man so this was just tilled or uh separated up oh oh all right this is just loose packed need to make it a couple more hours at least on this trip to get far
Enough um to find some type of camp site I’m seeing a lot of mud on the sides of the road here I don’t know if they got a lot of rain or if we’re going to run into some trouble along the way hopefully not too
Much if so maybe get to test out those new tires in really dense mud if that is any sign of what might be coming up that almost covered the entire Road um we’ll probably run into some Mud we’re in a rush against time but got to hydrate what a great ride so far man I love being out here it is so much fun we’re getting a little money getting a little fun but let’s see uh if we can get a restaurant or something going soon here
Guys hopefully we can keep skirting most of the deep mud that looks a little crazy let’s go take a look Riding Solo today Barry’s meeting me down the line just a little bit here so uh we got to we got to be safe let’s see what we’re dealing with
Here we are so close let me show you guys we’ve been about 3 miles down this road and we’re almost coming off of it so close and we do not have any time to spare hofa you can see this line is really soupy I might be able to make it over that
Line but nothing looks better over there and I’ve got to make a good choice good safety choice voice oh boy I don’t know I really do think I can take that first line and make it through the first half but what is happening right there after that first mount it just
Looks like pure soup all the way across I got to be safe guys but I got no extra time to give today can look at this two ways attempt to make it through here to save time stay on track and get to Camp before dark or try to make it through here get
Stuck and spend an hour and a half uh just going through living hell getting to the other side or have a safety issue yeah that doesn’t look good let’s hoping we’d make it all the way around I don’t think I can take the chance being solo against the clock or
Not I’d rather have a tough time setting up camp and getting all that done than getting messed up in this extremely soupy stuff guys H crazy enough I’m going to have to turn around and head back we’re going to lose a little time but it’s the right thing to do it
Really is here we go making it back cleared all this mud so nicely we are almost back to our routees I’ll be there in a few minutes oh what a crazy day but our little delay there is probably going to cost me lunch for now so uh a little protein
Bar Mountain Dew zero is going to be lunch and we’ll hit the trail Again they say 20 g of protein we’ll find out right made it back to our route and it’s a lot drier which is nice so far back to a beautiful axing ride you can see my day of all days kind of continues my rever app even though I’ve got it
Downloaded uh is not working so I’m back to just Google Maps trying to follow the scar whatever happens is going to be an adventure today something eventually will go right I promise just makes the day more interesting but we’re going to r on hopefully find our little campsite make a proper meal uh-oh
Well this might be a road closed up here oh it is just not my day guys that looks exactly like what it is all right oh roll with the punches right all right I couldn’t make this up if I tried hopefully this isn’t too long so we are officially in the Francis
Marian uh Forest now getting somewhat close right about an hour yet to drive what a great day it has been uh thrown back into the uh the normal roads here in Fr and Samaran for a little bit but you can see the Treetops there we are losing sunlight fast so we’ll be
Close probably set up a little bit after dark but we’ll take a look by the Moonlight we have a frisly arrived what a ride let’s see if we can find El a sight all right well we’re going to set this tent up via headlamp on the motorcycle cuz I didn’t bring mine let’s

If I was going to be starving this would be a great meal freaking starving hell yeah stuff myself now since uh you know Lun in exactly uh Tak into count a little Builder Bar and a uh and a soda what’d you predict that trip to be that was a
Three-hour drive three hour ride um I was expecting four um with doing the sand route Sand Hills so I thought I’d pull in about 5:30ish and then everything just kind of got a little crazy the uh the road close signs and I know I’m I’m driving on four Service
Roads um but they they were way in there yeah um so definitely ran into a couple surprises surpr our night is coming to an end a little bit of a shame almost 12:30 time to kick back relax get some sleep what a fantastic day crazy day but fantastic every Adventure is a little
