Bikepacking Montenegro has been one of the most challenging and beautiful cycling weeks so far. Every day was filled with hundreds of meters of elevation, from the bay of Kotor, climbing the 25 serpentines of Kotor to cycling next to Skadar lake in Skadar National Park.
Lake Skadar or Shkodra in Albanian is shared between the 2 countries and it is home to a beautiful ecosystem and one of the top things to see in both of these countries.

Bikepacking the Balkans never ceases to wonder any cyclist, but besides the views, it also shows you the things that are not in travel guides, the struggles people have. These few days have taught me a lot about this stunning small country and I hope I can share that with you in this video.

    1. Love your videos! 👍🏼 The views above Kotor is incredible. I watched this video and the Albania one — was disheartened to see so much trash, but it’s a reality we have to accept. Thank you for saving the turtles. Looking fwd to the next video.

    2. I really don't understand why westerns always need to point out trash dumping, bad roads and etc of countries they are in. As of they are better then the rest of the world? 🤷🏾‍♂

    3. I've been there 8 times or so. It's superbeautiful with the lakes, sea and mountains. ITs also horrible with the stray dogs, cats and sometime horses and cows, and the garbage is the worst. Who throws garbage off a hill or into a river should really be a horrible person. The containers are free but when they are filled, the people will put the garbage around. And they still give thin plastic bags when you go shopping and they fly around into the trees and bushes.
