    🔥 🔥 Mon histoire : 🔥 🔥

Hello, the Fire Family! Welcome to this new video. Today I tell you everything. I offered you the opportunity to ask me all your questions on Instagram. I received a few questions, I will answer them. It’s been a long time since I made this kind

Of video. I think that since I have been in Brussels, I have never done it. And I said to myself at the end of 2023 that it was important to share with you what I am experiencing with the Brussels firefighters, to share with you a little of my whole adventure. I’ll answer your

Questions, settle in, and we’re off to this new video. Fire call [music] [radio message] […] Driving, confirmed fire, heavy smoke release. Lots of smoke. So, I confirm fully developed […] [music] We want a volume 2 of your book. That was the first thing I received on Instagram. Thank you for this message,

And thank you especially for reading my book. I know you listened to it with the audio book. It’s great fun! Volume 2 will arrive one day. I can’t say when it will arrive because I’ll have to start writing it. In any case, I have a lot

To tell, that’s for sure. There will definitely be a volume 2 of my book. I told my story in a book called ‘The Fire of My Life.’ Volume 2 promises to be epic because I have lots,

Lots, lots of stories to tell you. As you can imagine, it’s going to be incredible. I can’t wait to get started. But in any case, I have it in my head, and it will come one day. I’ll just have to

Start writing it. It will take time, but when I do, I will of course tell you about it on social media. We’ll discuss it, and I’m really looking forward to getting started. “Are you planning to make videos with firefighters in France? Keep it up,

I like your work.” So, I received this question, I received a question regarding the Lyon firefighters. Will I go make videos with the firefighters in Lyon? It’s not on the program. I don’t think I will go back to making videos with French firefighters,

At least in firehouses in France. Let’s say that what I do here in Brussels fulfills me. I have quite a few projects, and I really want to focus here in Brussels. So, I have no plans to return to France. I will continue to do the

Flame of memory challenge as a videographer, as a community manager. So, it is the challenge in tribute to firefighters who died in fires which takes place every year from convention to convention. So, next year, the challenge will start from Toulouse and go to Mâcon,

And so this is perhaps the only time when I will be able to film the firefighters in France. When will cameras be immersed in other vehicles during the journey? This is something that I really want to do and that I have already done,

Particularly in ambulances, in the fire ambulance. I already put a camera on the route, it was pretty cool, it took great pictures. Except that I’m a little limited by the equipment, eh, as you can imagine. I only have a few cameras, I don’t have that many. So,

I will have to organize myself. But as soon as possible, I will do it. I’ll try to put cameras in the trucks because I think it’s so stylish. This makes the video intervention a little immersive. So, it’s something that I

Really want to develop, and I’m going to try to do that in 2024. Of course, with pleasure. “Don’t want to join the guys in the trucks?” So, that’s a question that comes up to me often. Don’t I plan to become a firefighter one day in Brussels? Don’t

I plan to go as a firefighter to Brussels? Well, the answer is no. Because what I do is still quite unique. I go on intervention, I follow the firefighters, I film them, I make videos on the social networks of the Brussels firefighters, the press. I also do a lot of internal projects

That you don’t necessarily see on social networks. But here it is, for me, It’s something I deeply love. It’s actually communicating, making communication, making video, making images. So, I don’t plan to become a firefighter in Brussels, but

I plan to continue. And I hope to be able to continue getting into the trucks so I can film the firefighters. In fact, what I like in what I do is to pay homage, in fact, it is to pay tribute to the profession and to the firefighters of Brussels. Because, guys, I’m starting

To know them all, the guys and girls from Brussels, and I’ve become very attached to them. We shared a lot of great moments. And I want to continue to put them forward because they deserve it, and casually, they need it. I didn’t realize that

When I arrived, but I realize it now. So, I want to continue to do that, to pay tribute to them, to highlight them, to put them in images because it’s incredible what they do, and they greatly deserve it. So, for me, it would be a waste to become a firefighter,

Because if I become a firefighter, I put the camera down. And where I am strongest, I think, is in the image, in the videos. And so, I want to continue in this area, especially since every day I improve, every day I learn things. Communication is not

An easy job, I learn every day. And I think I can still get better. I just need to practice again and again, and every day. Anyway, you can see on my social networks, I make a video almost every day, I edit every day. I’m always in it, I’m always filming, I’m always

Thinking, what am I going to be able to film, what am I going to be able to tell? So, I feel like I’m improving. And even in terms of communication, the way I film, the way I tell stories, the way you shouldn’t film, the way you should

Not tell certain things. So, I learn every day, every day, every day. And in a year and a half, I’ve been here in Brussels for a year and a half now, I think I’ve really progressed. And I have a progression step that is just incredible. It

Can only get better, it will be better. So, there you go, I learn from my mistakes too because I make mistakes every day. I make small mistakes, I learn, and I evolve. And I hope it continues like this. So, there you go, I will not become a firefighter,

I will stay in communication, I will stay in the image. And know that I really like it. Another question, that’s funny, “are you still getting joked as a Frenchman to the Belgians?” Yes, of course, and I think thatit will be the case my whole life here in Brussels

And in Belgium. I’ll always get a bit of a joke because I’m French, and yeah, no one is perfect. No, but it’s pretty funny. Every day, I have the right to a little valve, and that’s part of the game. I remain a French expatriate

Here in Belgium in Brussels. I also know who it came from. It comes from the Brussels firefighters, it comes from the guys I’ve known for a year and a half now. So it’s okay, I take it well, it

Makes me laugh, and I get into their game. And that’s funny. It always makes me laugh. Plus, what’s funny is that in my videos, I try to use Belgian words, septante, nonante, and a few Brussels words too. And I put these little words like that, and it makes everyone laugh.

That’s a GSM, it’s not a smartphone, it’s a GSM. There is also doomp in Brussels, doomp is smoke. There are lots of things like that that I use, and it always makes the people of Brussels laugh when they hear me speak with their expressions.

“Good evening, when will we see a large format of the hotel fire because the three extracts are magnificent?” Thank you for this message. Yes, there were fires with rescues. I made reels and shorts on Youtube, little videos. And of course, the long video is coming.

It will arrive next week if all goes well. I’m working on it, I’m going to make a really crazy edit for you because they’re impressive, incredible interventions. There were rescues, the firefighters were exceptional, and I was there to

Film it all. So, there will be a video coming on these two fires. You’ll see, it’s incredible. So, I invite you to subscribe so you don’t miss it. “How did you end up as a videographer for the Brussels firefighters?” How did I become a

Videographer for the Brussels firefighters, to put it simply, because the story is mega long, and that’s why I am going to do volume 2 of my book to tell you this story. I came here to film a funeral ceremony for a firefighter who died in a fire,

Jean-François Spelmans. I suggested making a video in tribute to Jean-François. I wanted to film the ceremony so that there would be a trace because the goal of my YouTube channel is to pay tribute to the profession of firefighter. I knew firefighters who knew

Jean-François and who were on intervention with him. So, it was important for me to make this tribute video. I arrived here the day before the ceremony, and so, I filmed the ceremony. I released the video of the ceremony. It’s a video that has had the most success on my

YouTube channel. She has traveled the world. We forget him, but he was a rigorous man, a man who knew the rules, a man who knew that in protocol, those who were with him had to be just a little behind him, and having accepted this rigor of the firefighter’s work. He left,

But he saved his companions. The pinnacle of life is love. That’s the summit. Jean-François Spelmans Brussels firefighter Death in fire on March 16, 2022 [music] In the meantime, I met, of course, the communications department of the Brussels firefighters who

Offered me to get into the trucks to film the interventions . I took the opportunity, it worked out, everything went very well, it was really incredible. There were a few misunderstandings, but hey, as always, new things are arriving,

It was a little strange to have a videographer in the fire department. I went with them, I made the videos, it worked, it matched, et cetera, et cetera. And we built everything we built there in terms of communication. The story is just incredible, and I am full

Of gratitude for what I am experiencing. It’s truly exceptional. I hope you like it anyway. We will continue to offer you videos at the heart of the action with the Brussels firefighters. “What do you advise young people who want to be a firefighter in Brussels?” I would advise two

Things to those who want to become firefighters in Brussels. You have to be patient, because the recruitment process is quite long. It involves a lot of things, a lot of investments. The training lasts 9 months, so that’s the first thing I

Recommend. The second thing is to believe in it and above all to never give up, because it’s really worth it. It’s really a fantastic job to be a firefighter, but also to be a firefighter in Brussels, it’s really an incredible experience. I meet

The recruits every morning. There are recruits at the moment, and every morning, I meet them. They are super happy with what they do. It’s really worth it. There is no person who regrets joining the Brussels firefighters, among the recruits. So,

It’s definitely worth fighting for. Be patient and determined, and go for it, because it’s definitely worth it. It’s really unbelievable. You will really enjoy it. Anyway, just watch my videos to see roughly where you’re going to go, and I hope to help motivate you, because frankly, it rocks, it’s so good.

“How long do you plan to stay in Brussels?” So, my future in Brussels is still uncertain. I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know how long I’m going to stay. I don’t know how long it will last. For the moment, I’m taking advantage of every day I’m

In Brussels to make these videos, but it’s still uncertain. It’s been uncertain for a while, it will still be for a few months. I don’t know when I’ll find out. Of course, I will talk to you about it, because it is important for me to share all this with you, but I

Don’t know where we are going, I don’t know what the year 2024 has in store for me. I’m an optimistic person so I hope it goes well. So I have plans for 2024, big plans for 2024, but I don’t know, that’s it.

I can’t answer, I can’t tell you how long I’m going to stay in Brussels. I would like to have a career there, I would like to stay there for a long time, I would like to continue in this direction.

But it’s not me who decides, there is a management above. Even though we have taken some steps, I will have to be patient to find out a little more about my future, but for the moment I

Know nothing about my future in Brussels. There you have it, folks, for all the questions that have been asked on Instagram. Thank you in any case for participating. Don’t hesitate to follow me on all social networks. I will continue to make videos, to tell you a little about my

Story with the Brussels firefighters. So, it’s been a year and a half now that I’ve been here with the Brussels firefighters. It’s just incredible what I’m experiencing. You can see, there are some pretty crazy interventions. Yesterday for example, there was an intervention with the RISC

GRIMP, two people were stuck on the 22nd floor on a basket. It was quite impressive. The day before, a person found himself under the train. It was a big intervention. There were all these fires with rescues, there were

Fire explosions, there were quite a few things. All these are stories that I will tell you little by little on my YouTube channel. I’m going to continue doing it like this. I don’t know for how long yet, but I’m going to continue doing it, because it’s something

That’s close to my heart. I am really proud to do what I do for the guys, for the girl firefighters of Brussels who do a remarkable job every day. I’m happy to highlight them, forward. It’s my job, that’s what I’m here for, to pay tribute to the

Profession of firefighter. Subscribe to see the rest of my adventures with the Brussels firefighters. Break that Sainte-Barbe protects you, take care of yourself, enjoy the end of year holidays, and we’ll see you next week for another video. Ciao, the FireFamily. [music]
