In the second of our rides to do before you die series, we’re off to Spain. But we’re not riding in Calpe, or the Pyrenees, instead Matt and Emma headed to the relatively unknown roads of Andalucia!

With breathtaking views, tough climbs, and many possibilities for café stops, Andalucia ought to be on any cyclists bucket list. Matt and Emma were lucky enough to get to discover the roads (and the cafés!) for themselves.

Congratulations on this video in Andalucia. Thank you very much. Greetings from Cadiz
Two national champions riding together. Great presenters too.
i dont like coffee but i love a cuppa tea. yes i drink lots of teas but i should from now on stop at coffee shops.
As an expat living in Casares, this was nice to see! Guess Im a lucky man!
lolz at "como hablar coffee en espanol"
The main reason these guys keep getting the BONK is because they never seem to have any CAKE with their coffee.
Cyclists, please know that coffee will screw up your bones. And Spain is amazingly beautiful.
New cycling game. Instead of a shot, do a sprint every time Matt says ‘A cheeky one’
Seriously though, we were lucky to have Matt and Emma
The last descent is a climb called Penas Blancas, which is Hors Categorie!
Olé, great team work, beautiful views, great bike harmony.
Cheers from NYC
Coming back to this video, the natural vibe with Emma and Matt is incredibly enjoyable. I could watch them sort recycling. Fortunate they enjoy biking. Unfortunate they’re no longer on GCN!
15:17 Great shot of the duo on the decent. Love it.
Matt is so classic!!! 😂🤙
Actually, "alcornocal" means the forest where you can find "alcornoques", which is the tree ("alcornoque" in singular). Great video! Greetings from Madrid!
Paella isn't andalusian, it's from Valencia!
My dad lives down there, nr. Granada. I get tired just walking, let alone cycling. I see a lot of people (clubs I guess) hitting the roads in pelotons. There was one guy absolutely smashing it and he only had one leg! The Alpujarra looks like a good ride if you like climbs…Regarding the roads, Spain has a long tradition with civil engineering and the main roads are excellent pretty much everywhere.
Great video. Had plans to cycle round Andalucia this summer, but Covid put that on hold. Hoping to get there when the world opens up again. Emma – loved your Spanish interjections but I'm pretty sure paella comes from Valencia. They would fight a (culinary) war over that.
We miss you, Matt and Emma!
Global Coffee Network 😂 Missing Matt & Emma!
Next time you come to Málaga, please prepare a route in Axarquia area, as someone told you: really hilly with a lot of climbs, smooth roads with less traffic, beautiful views… And it is very close from the airport, you can base in Vélez-Málaga o Torre del Mar. Hope to see you here soon😉

Here is the reverse ride, sorry for the norwegian text for those not fluent😀. I find the climb up penas blancas the best so i prefer the reverse of gcn route. The ride through the cork forrest is epic!
After their third coffee, their cadence was about 150rpm.
amazing nature and a good prestation 3500 meters in one day
Great scenery, video, audio, editing, cycling and bantering, love the chemistry. Cheers from Canada. (If you're thinking about cycling in Southern Spain, do it, you wont regret it )
how are they going uphill so fast?? I recently bought an e-bike and I still struggle more than that going uphill
