VISITING BEAUTIFUL BRANTÔME . DORDOGNE. FRANCE- ’23.
We continue our cycling tour of the Dordogne, with a trip on the bikes from the campsite, to the gorgeous town of Brantôme.
Brantôme is an idyllic town located to the north of Perigueux on the banks of the River Dronne.
The town is known locally as the Venice of Perigord. Wooded cliffs loom up behind the beautiful Benedictine abbey and the river Dronne runs around the village in front of the Abbey, which has its origins in the 8th century.
We have a lovely walk around the town, have lunch in the gorgeous gardens and have a thoroughly great day out!
Well worth visiting.!!!

[Applause] it’s another glorious day so we are making the most of it again and we are heading out on the bikes and we’re going to go in the opposite direction today we are going to a little dooing town called branom it’s supposed to be a really pretty Village on the river so we’re

Going to go find out let’s go away we go oh this is a nice little route this it’s very hilly though ah this is um this is actually a Randon route as well so this is a green route and a Rond route so that’s pretty cool let’s go oh it’s downhill again

Oh and there’s the river just there on the left hope look at that up there wow a roded by the river thousands of years ago I should imagine that’s awesome through the trees beautiful well it is the 23rd is it the 23rd of September or is it the

24th and what an absolutely fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning cycling through the do do Valley lovely in lovely weather as well cycling by the river we’re kind of in a Gorge at the minute right between the rocks and the river oh we’re going off peast let’s

Dong I think we’re re Bured right let’s go and have a look there’s some right impressive bells ringing right now but it is Sunday so uh I get back oh that’s lovely look at that on the river that’s big old church or something down there birded tell you what we can do yeah down

Look okay all right we are going to have a little walk down along the river bank cuz it’s pretty well that’s just delightful look at that and I don’t know what that big massive building is there pretty impressive now let’s go over the bridge should we go over the bridge and have a

Look burn it let’s go gorgeous I know they’re really into their dragons around here I don’t know why it’s definitely a dragon thing burnard on the bridge oh I’m going to shove me way up here look and then there’s that big massive thing there I’ve no idea what that

Is it’s pretty impressive though it’s huge there’s Mr Dragon breathing fire so pretty through the gate bu through the gate now this church is pretty awesome look at that that’s a huge me beautiful and another bridge look I can kind of see why they call it the

Little Venice of door I think that’s what its um nickname is I can kind of see why lots of uh Riverside restaurants and bars lots of places for you to eat if you so wish lovely everybody out for Sunday lunch BR all the little shops in the rock look

They’re all built into the Rock faces back in little Grotto so cute that is absolutely stunning I must say absolutely beautiful over the bridge walk through the town it’s bigger than I thought actually this town oh look Bard look at this little road Scorpio little coupl streets all the little buildings galleries art

Galleries more restaurants suy face to CV to CV yeah I think they’re having them I think they’re having a get together yeah oh no oh well just a couple and that I think is pretty much all of it oh steps I’m sure we’ll manage there’s only a couple and here we are

Look back at the main Bridge right SM lunch time we’re going down there spotting the sunshine in the gardens next to the river lovely so we’ve just finished our lunch on the river bank here and uh we’ve had a lovely visit to Brom and perod definitely worth the visit perfect
