Riding the edge between awe and adrenaline, exploring new paths in Norway. Rain-soaked trails, bikes on your backs and a daring dance with nature’s unpredictability. Every jump, every turn, every photo a calculated risk against the breathtaking backdrop of fjords and sea. This is more than a road trip; it’s a journey to find our physical, mental and creative limits and find out what we’re capable of.

Two bikes, camera equipment and a Caddy are all we need to produce content on our own terms. A film about intensive collaboration, risky sports and the creation of images that you will later find on posters and websites.

Let’s put our skills to the test! So off to Norway! So that we can fulfill the dream of an action shot with the sea or fjord in the background The challenge travelling through Norway on a students budget That means we eat cereal and pasta and only have cold showers!

After 2 days of just sitting we are finally at the ferry to Norway 500 € today or 250 € tomorrow?! Well, then we’ll just look for a few trails in Denmark! Getting active feels really good and we can warm up our photo game! We both have our very own idea of what’s good

But if we find the intersection we get into a real FLOW state and forget everything around us We’ve already taken the first shots in front of the sea and that even before we got to Norway! And to all my sponsors please turn a blind eye I know bikes love sand…

What are we going to do?! Rainy day today! Hello baby lambs! No, this is no food! First climb after four days of travelling our first time in Norway onto the first trails in Nesbyen Definitely feels good Wow! Where are we?! This is the best nature ever! There is only one problem

It’s already 9:50 p.m. so we only have 10 minutes to take pictures Could have been cool! And now it’s time to enjoy 17km of freshly shaped flow trail but please don’t go too slow it will be dark soon! Nice try to dry the clothes! And it rains again… Luca,

How about you go out now and cook something? Love you too After the midday showers we can finally start at 4:20 p.m. The trails are really fun so it’s easy to push up again and again in order to get the clips Yes, that’s the way it is when you’re travelling

These glasses were just lost by Luca in this terrain and who found them? My fingers can’t grip they are so cold! Nesbyen really is a dream for Mountainbikers I mean a bike wash in front of the supermarket we will definitely stop by again on the way back

The further north we go, the more impressive the landscape becomes The first fjord the second ferry and progressively the license plates are scanned and the bill arrives by post or it does not arrive at least as of today We head for the first campsite and the location couldn’t be nicer

A hot shower and a kitchen area feel like absolute luxury Time for research and documentation Recharged and with full batteries off to the first trail with fjords in the background A little cold bath adjusting the outfits to the backpack and fixing up the bikes Super exhausting, but it works!

While Flo carries all the camera equipment with him, my backpack is full with tools, first aid equipment and various outfits Below the tree line, the fjord is only clearly visible with the drone which is why we shoot riding scenes for the film But then the view opens up

And we discover a stone standing freely in the landscape and we both know: “Now it’s getting serious!” Without the two stones, we wouldn’t have been able to take the picture and video you just saw They really saved my ass so that I didn’t get stuck here and fly over the handlebar

And even then the suspension blew through the travel! You can tell, it was a big relief because even though it was a very calculated risk I had prepared the landing with stones and knew from years of experience that it shouldn’t actually be a problem for me There is still a residual risk

And then we are still in the middle of nowhere even though Norway has a comparably good rescue infrastructure And as if that wasn’t enough excitement we discovered a great spot right at the summit The only problem on the left is an absolute no-fall-zone! But with 100% concentration caution and the mindset:

“If life is in danger, the bike is just an object that you can drop!” you can take great pictures here We were rewarded with a wonderful descent for carrying and pushing up the bikes! The edges of the snowfields, which were undercut by water proved to be particularly tricky But we got through well

A bit sketchy here The mean thing it’s an awesome view but when riding, the focus must remain on the trail That’s why you need to stop regularly and soak up the impressions After Flo almost froze his fingers off like in Nesbyen we managed to get a drone shot of riding together

With all the pictures and videos that were taken on the trails of Molden we had already exceeded our expectations of the Norway trip And now we continued through valleys reminiscent of Avatar And if you need a break on a journey through Norway you simply stop at a glacial lake

And of course the cameras were unpacked how else are you supposed to explore the area? I had already thought that Norway had a lot to offer in terms of scenery but I didn’t expect to be so blown away on travel days With a view up to all these mountain tops

It’s easy to start dreaming But now, back to the valley But there was nothing about the barrier on Google! Well, it’ll be fine! Eating cereals has now become a routine and perfectly optimized after all, we don’t want to waste water unnecessarily rinsing a knife get ready let’s go!

The mountain bike season hasn’t even really started in Norway yet and some trails are more like meltwater streams But splashing around a bit is also fun and is a whole new challenge A quick bike wash in between so that the bike looks its best in the upcoming pictures and videos

And then it’s time for me to play a bit with the bike and the trail Flo does the same but with camera equipment and gimbal The impact on the chest makes breathing difficult for a short time but stay relaxed let the adrenaline subside and as there is no pain even now

We head up to the summit We don’t meet a soul on the whole way up and there are no traces in the snowfields either The weather and the view are a real joy! Things that were really exhausting in Molden due to the cold become pure pleasure here and the motto is no longer

“Let’s get the best out of it while we’re here!” but rather “Let’s soak it all up!” Finally riding on snow again it brings back Megavalanche feelings As long as the light is this good, it’s all about capturing one descent after the other! Alright, that’s it… Megavalanche lost!

We take every opportunity to dry our gear and have a relaxing morning before finally heading to the sea While in Germany every tunnel construction should be carefully considered and can sometimes take years longer here there are tunnels to every small village or even through the sea

At the parking lot we meet an Englishman who now lives here in Ålesund He tells us how lucky we are with the weather because it’s only the fifth sunny day this year Most of the time we have to carry the bikes up the steep terrain but the landscape is promising

And once we reach the top we first fulfil our dream of action shots with the sea in the background But how quickly the weather can change, here by the sea, is immediately apparent… …fog rolls in from the sea So a quick bit of filming before the fog blocks the whole view

Once again, we completely lost track of time while taking photos and the change in the weather was simply not on our radar Every minute, the conditions jumped back and forth between sun and fog but with more and more fog But suddenly we lose connection to the drone and it crashes! what a bummer!

We’ve had enough! and we realise that after 10 days of travelling we have mentally and physically reached our limits Now it was time to gather ourselves a little but the pickled vine leaves no longer tasted as good as they did a few days ago And when the sun came out one last time

We really had to pull ourselves together to film a few last sequences We just wanted to get back into the car and go to sleep But on the descent, we were met with a lighting atmosphere that we had never seen before and we decided to take a few last pictures

Ålesund was the northernmost point of our journey and it didn’t get any darker at night than here The way back to Nesbyen turned out to be a slow but entertaining endeavour but with the scenery we couldn’t help but stop every 20 minutes So what had we learned on our trip?

Norway doesn’t have to be extremely expensive if you camp or spend the night in the car and bring your own food you actually get away quite well Our second learning Norway has a very good infrastructure and still many beautiful, sparsely populated areas that are just waiting to be explored The only catch

You have to get used to the weather But clothing is half the battle here I, for example, only had a pair of mountain bike shoes with me which barely got dry overnight But the waterproof socks were worth every cent so my feet got cold at most, but never really wet

But now back to Nesbyen where we treat ourselves to a shuttle day and ride for the first time without producing content Well okay the little thrill at the end was filmed briefly after all A little dirty! Thank you Norway! And it rains again… despite the rain, we’ll be back

After all, there’s still a lot to explore I’d say we can tick off our goal of putting our skills to the test It makes me a little bit proud to know the result when you give Flo his camera and me a bike and we set off on our own

So who knows what the future holds? Deuter must have liked the pictures too Oh yeah and then there was the Reel that went viral completely unexpectedly
