Ton to do isn’t a big night life or anything like that after graduating from wlc in secondary school Ashley enrolled in Thompson Rivers University however by the time school would be starting she was informed that classes would be online due to the covid pandemic Ashley always wanted to experience the full

University life she wanted to live on campus make friends and go to classes in person so she deferred her enrollment for the following year so that hopefully she she could start school once things were back in person in the meantime Ashley wanted to sort of get away from

The small town life that she grew up with and see what else the world had to offer she had always dreamed of bigger things than where she was from and she was so excited for what her future held for her Ashley was known to be happiest

When she was in the sun surrounded by friends and family she was very close to her big sister Haley who was known to be fiercely protective over her baby sister Ashley was known as someone who would jump into anything and everything she tried without even a second thought she

Absolutely loved traveling she loved the Arts skiing swimming playing tennis and basically just doing any outdoor activity that she could do she also played the clarinet at school she was known to have a contagious laugh and could always put a smile on the faces of those around her she was a very

Passionate person and she would go out of her way to befriend the new new students at her school hoping to make it so that no one around her ever had to feel lonely now Ashley’s family wasn’t particularly religious but as so many teens do Ashley went soul searching she

Wanted to find meaning behind life so when she was 18 years old Ashley recently found God through the Church of the Latter Day Saints being baptized into the church in April of 2021 being that Ashley was from a small town and she wanted to Branch out asy and her

Friends would have no problem reaching out and befriending people who they didn’t necessarily know especially through social media if one of her friends had met someone online and one of her friends thought that they were cool or cute or whatever they would also go and chat up that friend as well that

Is how in 2015 a then 13-year-old Ashley came to befriend a 16-year-old teenager from England named Jack seel she actually spotted Jack by seeing him on a mutual friend page and she thought that he was cute not just that but again she had always been curious about the

Outside world around her Jack lived in chelsford England a city of about 180,000 people and was located about an hour Northeast of London that was vastly different than where she was from he also had quite a different personality than her he was quiet Scrappy and spent

A lot of time alone unlike Ashley who had tons of friends Jack didn’t have much of a social life spending most of his time on social media and playing video games so the two connected via Facebook starting off by messaging one another rather frequently about their days and giving a snapchot into what

Each of their lives were like eventually the two grew closer and closer to the point where they were messaging every day and Ashley even started mentioning Jack’s name to her mom dad and her sister Haley of course Christy Ash ‘s mom was concerned about her having some

Sort of online relationship with a man especially one that was 3 and 1/2 years older than her because of course when you are online people aren’t always who they say they are but Jack showed Ashley and her family proof of who he was and that he was in fact a 16-year-old

Teenager who again was only 3 and 1/2 years older than Ashley which if you ask me is quite a bit older when you are talking about someone that is high school School aged or even younger in a relationship but because it wasn’t a physical relationship and it was an

Online relationship it seemed that the people around Ashley felt a little bit safer with this whole Arrangement given that they didn’t actually know each other in person but as more time passed the connection between Jack and Ashley just grew now throughout the years there were times that Ashley and Jack wouldn’t

Talk for periods of time but when they did talk it was a constant everyday thing as time passed Jack started sending Ashley gifts in the mail such as money teddy bears jewelry and clothing and Handbags and things like that then the two started video chatting all the

Time even though the two had an 8-hour time difference Ashley would always make sure to wake up early and Jack would sometimes stay up late just so they could talk they video chatted so frequently that Ashley’s mom began to recognize him on Ashley’s phone and would greet him with a kind hello

Whenever she saw him on video chat those around Ashley saw just how deep of a connection Ashley had with Jack it was clear that the two were infatuated with one another holding on to the hope for years that someday they would get to meet and be together 2 years after they

Started talking Jack turned 18 and Ashley was hoping that maybe she could visit him but Ashley was still only 15 so her mother would not allow her to travel all all the way to the UK by herself to meet up with some boy her mom described that when she asked it was an

Immediate no however things between Ashley and Jack weren’t always butterflies and rainbows like I said their relationship was a bit on and off for the years that they had been talking and also given that their relationship was so long distance there had to be a lot of trust between them trust that

Jack didn’t always have like I said Jack was not the most social person but Ashley was she was always posting photos with her friends online she loved going camping and off-roading with friends she constantly posted cute photos and videos of herself and her friends to her Snapchat stories and social medias as

Teenagers do she recorded herself lipsyncing to different songs she also posted pictures of her different accomplishments like when she sold all of her tickets for a fundraiser that she was doing she also loved posting photos of her family being all together meanwhile Jack wasn’t doing any of these

Things he again spent most of his time on social media and he didn’t have much of a social life at all he was just breathing at all of the fun that Ashley was having in her life while he was alone and not doing much with his life eventually Jack started accusing Ashley

Of having crushes on different boys in her hometown that would cause the two to constantly get into fights about her possibly talking to other boys sometimes things escalated so badly that Ashley would have to block Jack from contacting her online because he just would not stop when that happened Jack would start

Making new accounts to contact her that or he would contact her sister or her friends saying rude and angry things all just to get her attention and hope that it would make Ashley respond to him then when Jack was 19 years old and Ashley was 16 years old Jack actually got a

Tattoo of Ashley’s name on his arm he said that this was a symbol of his Devotion to her all in all her friends seeing these clingy messages how angry he could get and how he even got a tattoo of her name on his body those who knew and loved Ashley started to get

Concerned that Jack was growing up obsessive they didn’t like the behaviors that they were seeing from Jack but Ashley who knew him best she told them not to worry she assured her mother and her friends that Jack was just passionate and loyal to a fault but even that wasn’t necessarily true while Jack

Was extremely jealous and constantly accusing Ashley of seeing other boys jack was dating other women and it seemed like Ashley knew about some of these other women not that she was okay with it which I will get more into in just a minute but it was reported that

When Jack would see these other women he made it clear to these women that Ashley was his number one and always would be but for some reason these women would continue talking to Jack there were times that these women would actually get into really intense fights with Jack

And they would actually call Ashley to ask her to ask him to calm down in one of these calls the woman told Ashley that her and Jack got into a fight but that Jack wasn’t letting her leave his house and every time something like that would happen Ashley kind of

Knew what to do it was almost like second nature to her at that point where she would talk to Jack and tell him to calm down and stop acting crazy after situations like this would happen with jacking other women you know like I’ve been saying their relationship was a bit

On again off again Ashley obviously would get upset and would want to break things off with him and they would take a break for some time but it seemed that Jack always knew exactly what to say to get Ashley back the two would only go a few days at a time without talking

Before Ashley would ultimately take Jack back each time this happened Jack’s apologies always seemed genuine and they agreed that when they could finally be together physically in the same place that things would just be perfect but the concerning behaviors that Jack was showing just continued there was another concerning incident in March of

2021 apparently Jack found out that one of Ashley’s friends didn’t like him so he sent her a voice recording of himself and in that recording he is literally freaking out he is yelling making growling and grunting sounds and he sounds absolutely unh hinged he is making threats against the friend saying

That he was going to kill her if I can find a copy of the recording without music I will play the recording because it’s just disturbing my T coming back this thing on my I’m going to it’s me my Li it’s driving me crazy I’m so H killer with

Murderer but once again he apologized and the two made up it was described that Ashley was very much a peacemaker she was hopeful she saw the best in people so even when Jack would have these angry outbursts she would accept his apologies and assume that he was

Going to change so even when Jack would have these angry outbursts she would accept his apologies and was hopeful that he would change by the time Ashley was old enough to work she started to get part-time jobs at places like McDonald’s Burger King and places like

That she wanted to save up as much money as she could so that she could buy the things she wanted her first purchase was a new iPhone and from there she continued to save and save and save Ashley’s family would later say that even outside of knowing Jack Ashley had

Always wanted to travel to England it was a bucket list destination to her so no matter what they said she was going to be going eventually after getting these jobs she told her family that she was going to save up until she could afford to finally go on the trip of a

Lifetime by the time Ashley was 19 years old she had finally saved enough money to get a six-month tourist visa and purchased her plane ticket to London England at that time to say that Ashley was excited is an understatement she was ecstatic not only for this big trip

Where she would be spending months in England but to finally meet the man who she had been loving for years finally by November 12th 2021 Ashley boarded her flight to embark on her long- awaited trip to London once on the flight she sent a little Snapchat video to friends

Which showed her on the plane showing off the pillow blanket and water and how much space she had on the flight she was so impressed with how big this plane was by the following day on November 13th 2021 Ashley and Jack got to meet in person she arrived in London and Jack

Picked her up from the airport she immediately posted photos and videos of the two of them together even changing her Facebook profile picture to a picture of the two of them family and friends left heart emojis and smile emojis on the photos that she posted with everybody being so happy and

Excited for her finally getting to meet her love in person for her time in London Ashley stayed at Jack’s Place he lived in a town home in a housing complex in Northwest Chelmsford the home itself was in a rougher area but Ashley didn’t mind because she wouldn’t just be

Staying at the home they would be doing all sorts of activities in different areas together together they went around all of London and the surrounding areas they did all of the touristy things they saw the Big Ben Club they went to the London Bridge and they even went on a

Little tourist Excursion with Jack and his mother throughout her time there she posted tons of photos of her and Jack doing all sorts of activities and to all of her friends and family it looked like she was literally having the time of her life she thought that London and the

Surrounding areas were just so beautiful she loved the architecture the brick roads the Autumn Leaves she loved everything that she was seeing she video chatted her family back home and to them she was beaming with joy and Jack seemed like such a great guy for her to be

Around at first when she got there Jack was exactly the guy that she had known for all those years but as Ashley spent more and more time in London she got to know what Jack was really like in his everyday life Ashley was sort of expecting to do fun touristy things

Pretty much for her whole stay in England but she was staying there for months so she knew that not every day was going to be the best day ever people had to work people had lives and families she also knew that spending all day day in and day out with Jack not

Every moment together would be loving and warm she knew that Jack could be moody and it was understandable that you might have some tiffs with someone that you’re with all day every day it literally happens to everybody even in the healthiest of relationships but as you can imagine things started to go

Downhill the longer Ashley stayed with Jack now being that Ashley was in London on a tourist visa she wasn’t allowed to work so she only had the money that she came there with which was quite a bit she saved up over time but she only had

That set amount of money at the same time Jack also didn’t work he was unemployed living off of social assistance and sometimes he would get support from his mother who lived nearby like I mentioned earlier Jack also didn’t have much of a social life spending almost all of his time on

Social media so it’s not like Ashley went there and was introduced to a bunch of friends and new people she really only met Jack’s mother and his sister Nadia Ashley was used to having a very busy and bustling social life but when she was staying with Jack all of that

Came to a screeching halt then as Ashley and Jack got more comfortable with one another he stopped wanting to do pretty much anything he didn’t go for walks with her he didn’t want to do any more touristy activities instead he spent most of his time smoking weed and playing

Xbox this was definitely disappointing for Ashley who was there to spend time with him and also experience all that England had to offer then after the New Year came after spending just over a month together that is when Jack’s other side started to show itself more and

More and more like I said just a few months before her trip to London Ashley had started attending the LDS church well before she left she was connected with some American missionaries from the church who were around her age who also happened to be in Chelmsford at the same

Time that she was there so once again Ashley told Jack that she wanted to meet these other missionaries and go to church services with them she did get to meet these people in person I believe one time to hang out with them but other than that Jack wouldn’t let her see them

After that she wasn’t allowed to hang out with them and she wasn’t even allowed to go to service with them by January of 2022 Ashley had gotten lonely she also started to understand just how controlling and manipulative Jack could be by this point he had lost his temper

In front of her multiple times and would go into fits of Rage where he would yell and swear at her and threaten violence there were times where she would be on FaceTime with her friends or family and she would tell them to whisper so that he couldn’t hear them if he found out

That they were talking and especially about him he would get really upset there was one time where Ashley told her sister Haley that jacket HIIT her over the head with a glass cup the cup broke and after being hit with it Ashley called Haley crying in the background

Ashley could hear Jack yelling at her to clean up the glass shards from the cup that he just broke over her head that entire call Jack was yelling and screaming and gritting his teeth and pacing back and forth in a rage then like I said there were those American

Missionaries who were in chelsford at the same time that Ashley was even though they were in close proximity again jack wouldn’t let her see them other than that one time that she got to meet them so she started texting them on WhatsApp to develop a closer friendship

Like I said she was an extrovert who liked to go out and do things and meet new people but for weeks now she was bored stuck inside dealing with Jack who could just fly off the handle at any moment just based off of the things that she told these new friends about Jack

They could tell that he was very controlling there was was one time where these missionaries went on a road trip together but of course Jack wouldn’t let her do that either so these friends would text her saying things like don’t you think you deserve better than that

And she would say things like oh yeah I know I do but I just want to make him happy around the same time Jack texted his own mother admitting that he had just smacked Ashley because he found that she had two blocked numbers in her phone he assumed that these numbers

Belonged to other men and I guess the fact that they were blocked told him that she had talked to them in her past or something like that who knows but to that his mother told him that there was no reason for him to lay his hands on

Ashley during that time Ashley was also relatively open about some of the things that were going on with Jack to her sister and her friends but she refused to tell her parents anything she actually begged Haley not to tell them anything because she didn’t want them

Them to hate Jack but even though she didn’t tell her parents anything Ashley’s mom and dad could still tell that things were not going great just based on how she sounded in her text messages they could tell that she seemed less happy she wasn’t herself she wasn’t going out and experiencing new things

She just was not herself however after everything that Haley learned about Jack with his Rampages threatening her and her friends throwing things at her hitting her over the head with a cup along with all of the other physical abuse that she was dealing with and the fact that she was sending Haley pictures

Of all of these bruises she had on her body Ashley decided to let their mother in on what was happening to this Chrissy made sure to text Ashley and tell her that she didn’t have to deal with this she is always there for her and she

Wanted her to stay safe for the weeks that followed all throughout the month of January Haley and christe texted her over and over and over again trying to convince her to come home they knew how bad things were getting for Ashley but according to what Ashley’s friends and

Family would later say Jack was a manipulator he would treat her horribly but always found ways to make Ashley feel bad and then take him back so when Haley and Christy would tell Ashley to come home she said no she said that she wanted to stay when they asked her why

She would want to stay in that situation she just told them that she wanted to work things out with Jack so bad and again she was 19 she was technically an adult so there was really nothing that they could do after those incidents still in January Jack’s parents decided

To take him and Ashley on a nice little road trip to Ry a small coastal town nearby as a little vacation to sort of reset things there had been an incident a few weeks earlier where Jack had actually tried taking his own life and again he was treating Ashley so horribly

And was having all of these outbursts so they just wanted to sort of reset the whole situation this entire trip seemed like a fun trip for the whole family and Ashley Ashley started posting photos of this trip smiling alongside Jack and his family this gave Ashley’s family back

Home some hope that maybe things were improving and for a few days it seemed like things were getting better but once they returned back from the trip it was right back to where it was before once they were back at Jack’s Place he found out that Ashley had been messaging with

A man in Canada literally years ago so it’s not like she was actively messaging him at that time and like having this side relationship she had literally talked to him years ago they weren’t even flirtatious messages or anything like that it just appeared to be a friend that she had texted very briefly

But this didn’t matter to Jack he demanded that he have all of her social media passwords so that he could keep tabs on her and she agreed near the end of January Jack and Ashley had another huge fight in this fight Jack threw a ceramic candle on a TV remote at Ashley

While she was on FaceTime with her sister Haley once again Haley was so so worried about her little sister and asked her again to please come back home as agreed for a moment at that time but she quickly changed her mind she was convinced that she could have the old

Jack back if she just gave it more time the same Jack that would wake up early and stay up late just to talk to her the jack that was warm and loving but by this time Jack seemed to have a perfect understanding of the cycle that he had

Created he would accuse Ashley of whatever he was going to accuse her of he he would scream at her and hit her and physically abuse her only to apologize and promise to never do it again but as so many of us know once this cycle starts it does not stop but

For Ashley she was 19 years old Jack had been in her life since she was literally 13 years old a literal child he was her first and only love Ashley was not experienced in dating she didn’t realize that things were never going to change that things would only get worse being

So young and so in love she truly saw the best in everybody especially Jack and she believed that he would change so hearing all of this information throughout this whole video I know there’s been a lot but please try your best to reserve your judgment because

Again remember she was only 19 and this was someone who had been working her since she was 13 years years old she put up with a lot and she truly saw the best in him and she didn’t know any better and she genuinely thought that things would get better again she was very

Young this was her first real relationship so she didn’t really know any better again she thought that Jack was going to change but he didn’t he continued to get worse and worse until it was far too late for Ashley to leave and by February 1st 2022 the lives of

Everyone who knew and loved Ashley would be changed Forever on that morning Jack woke up angry and in a vile mood once again he had convinced himself that Ashley was cheating on him despite the fact that he had all of her social media passwords and the fact that she was with

Him under his watch pretty much 24/7 so because of that Jack went through Ashley’s phone again which caused another argument by around 8:30 a.m. that morning the neighbor who shared a wall with Jack’s townhouse Helen she reports that she heard Ashley screaming inside of the home just moments later Ashley was standing in

Front of her front door crying with blood running down her hand from a cut that she had on her Palm it turned out that after going through Ashley’s phone jack hit Ashley and smashed her phone the two had also apparently gotten a kitten together while Ashley was there

And Jack threw that kitten against the wall as well he was so angry in that moment that Ashley was terrified for her life she thought that Jack was going to kill her Helen told Ashley that they needed to call the police but Ashley begged her not to she was worried that

He would kill himself if the police were called because again he did have prior suicide attempts either that or she was afraid that he would be arrested and thrown in jail and she didn’t want either of those things by 9:00 a.m. Ashley used Helen’s phone to call her

Family back in Canada at that point like I said pretty much everyone knew everything that was going on and she told them what had just now happened finally Ashley told her family that she wanted to come home while still on the phone Ashley’s family immediately booked

Her a flight home which would be leaving 2 days from them Jack agreed to take Ashley to get a covid test and then he would drive her to the airport so she could go home however given that the flight was still 2 days away her family was still worried they urged Ashley to

Leave immediately and go straight to the airport if Jack had another outburst it was better that she just stay at the Airport overnight or even for those 2 days than her being stuck at Jack’s house risking being injured again Ashley spoke with her family until around 11:00

A.m. which was about 3:00 a.m. Vernon time after that phone call ended Ashley’s family went to sleep for the night after that call Ashley gave the phone back to Helen and by that point she had calmed down a lot Ashley told Helen that she was going to go back to

Jack’s Place and Helen went with her to speak with Jack first after things were calmed down Ashley went inside and Helen left of course Helen would later say that she didn’t want Ashley to go back she worried for her safety she asked her to take her to the ER she said that she

Would stay with her but Ashley insisted and really there wasn’t much that Helen could do to stop her by the next morning Ashley and Christine woke up to find that Ashley had sent them a few messages asking for them to answer saying that she needed to talk to them these

Messages were sent between 11:22 a.m. and 12:38 p.m. Ashley’s time but like I said her family back in Canada had been asleep because it was the middle of the night for them so they didn’t see the messages for several hours by that point they tried calling Jack’s phone numerous

Times but neither him or Ashley were answering according to Haley they tried calling upwards of 20 times but Ashley was not responding like I mentioned earlier Ashley had been messaging with those missionary friends who were in Chelmsford at the same time as her well Chris and Haley contacted them after not

Hearing back from Ashley to see if they had heard from Ashley turns out around the same time that Ashley had been texting her family she was also frantically texting those friends from Jack’s phone to one friend Jamie she wrote it’s Ashley I need your help it’s an emergency please she sent similar

Messages to multiple friends all saying that she needed somebody to help her but after those text messages nobody else could get into contact with her because of this by around 400 p.m. in London time Ashley’s family asked the friends to go back to Jack’s house and check on

Her which they did Jaimie showed up with another female friend and two male friends all from the church they knocked on the door and waited to see if somebody would answer but nobody did but they could tell that somebody was inside because they heard rustling sounds they obviously were worried for Ashley’s

Wellbeing so they immediately called the police in the call they told the dispatcher about how tumultuous the relationship between the couple had been saying that they were worried that he hurt her again around that same time friends of Ashley’s started getting messages from Ashley’s Facebook profile these were friends that Ashley had

Previously reached out to asking for someone to give her a ride to get a covid test so that she could board her flight home but now she was apparently on Facebook messaging these friends saying that she no longer needed help from them a few minutes after making

That call to police they showed up to Jack’s door at first he refused to answer but police could see that Jack was inside and was moving around so they kicked in the door to enter the home and once inside police were met with a gruesome scene they found that Jack was

Lying on the bed next to Ashley who was covered in blood at that time Jack was on the phone talking to his sister Nadia the officers asked him what happened and he said I’ve gone psychotic I’m sorry the officer asked for clarification and Jack said I’ve strangled and stabbed her

Police describe Jack’s demeanor as relatively calm police attempted life-saving measures on Ashley but unfortunately by that point Ashley had already been deceased for hours at that point point it was obvious that Jack was responsible for killing Ashley they had a snippet of information given to them by Ashley’s friends who made that

Emergency call saying that the two always had a volatile relationship but they still conducted a more thorough investigation to look into exactly what happened and what they found was disturbing to say the least according to cell phone data taken from Jack’s phone sometime between 112 22

A.m. and 12:38 p.m. Jack sent a text to his mom saying I beat up Ashley real bad to this his mom replied is she hurt Jack why 14 minutes later Jack replied saying she thinks she broke her arm I picked her up and threw her on the ground I

Punched her and ripped her all around the lounge after that it appears that Jack’s mom did not reply I believe at the time she was actually at the airport so she could have gotten onto a flight or something like that we don’t exactly know why she wasn’t immediately

Available as we know it was around the same time that Ashley was sending frantic text messages to friends and family members It is believed that Jack had a freak out and beat Ashley and may have stopped the attack for long enough for Ashley to panic and try to leave but

All communication from Ashley stopped at 12:38 p.m. so it is believed that this is when Jack strangled Ashley then he made the decision to go to the kitchen grab a 4 and 1/2 in knife and then stab her at least 90 times to her chest and abdomen just after that

Sometime in the afternoon police saw that Jack changed his profile picture on Facebook it was a photo of himself with Ashley that they had taken months earlier he captioned it mine forever then they found that Jack had recorded a video of himself on his phone I believe in the video he showed himself

Breathing heavily and sitting with Ashley’s body in the video he said that he loved Ashley and was sorry he said that he couldn’t let her leave he then showed her body and said my head was effed I’m so sorry Haley for taking your sister then like I said when police

Entered the home just after 400 p.m. Jack was on the phone he had actually been talking to his sister Nadia who he told that he had just killed Ashley after that video he stabbed himself a few times in the chest with a kitchen knife all the wounds he made on himself

Were superficial at first police were not able to find the knife that was used to kill Ashley but eventually upon searching his home they did find the knife hidden behind a radiator in the bedroom they confirmed that it did have Ashley’s Blood on the blade and Jack’s

DNA on the handle after that of course police took took Jack into the police station for questioning now I was able to watch Snippets of the interrogation but there is music playing over it and it probably is copyrighted so unfortunately I won’t be able to include

That in this video but I will include a link to the documentary that I watched on this case down below either way police interviewed him three times over the course of two or three days and the entire time he remained emotionless they asked tons of questions but he answered

No comment to every single one after his arrest and further investigation into what happened it was obvious to police that Jack’s poor mental health played a huge role in the murder so he underwent psychiatric evaluation to determine his ability to stand trial of course this really worried Ashley’s family because

They were afraid that if he was deemed mentally ill enough that he would get off with a lighter sentence than he deserved like I said he told the officers that he had gone psychotic when they found him in his room they did run a toxicology screen to see what if any

Substances he had been on when he committed the murder and they found that he had a normal therapeutic dose of his anti-anxiety medication as well as marijuana in his system so he was not going crazy from drugs that he had taken it was also f found that he had a

History which included multiple suicide attempts as well as violence against other women which we will discuss more in just a few minutes it was clear that Jack had suffered from severe mental health issues however it was determined that Jack’s mental health problems did not affect his ability to understand the

Difference between right and wrong and understand his actions he was not psychotic at the time of the murder he was trolling and couldn’t stand the thought of Ashley being away from him so he killed her and he knew exactly what he was doing and he knew it was wrong he

Was determined to be fit to stand trial I do want to note now that I mentioned earlier that Jack had stabbed himself a few times in the chest after he murdered Ashley It is believed that he did this with the intention of claiming that he killed Ashley in self-defense after she

Attacked him but it never got to that point at his preliminary hearing the prosecution went over all of the extensive damning evidence that they had against Jack his History of Violence with Ashley and other women his DNA being on the murder weapon and his videotaped confession showing Ashley’s

Body the fact that he was deemed mentally appropriate to stand trial all of this made it crystal clear that Jack murdered Ashley and he was not insane at the time that he did so there literally was no question about it so because of all of the evidence stacked against him

Jack knew that he really shouldn’t even try to fight the charges because he would probably end up with the worst possible sentence anyways so in September of 2022 Jack entered a plea of guilty to the murder of Ashley Wadsworth by October of 2022 the sentencing hearing for Jack took place up until

That point Ashley’s family were all suffering from the immeasurable amounts of grief they could see just how bad things had gotten and they tried so hard to get Ashley back but by the time she finally decided to come back home it was too late I can’t even imagine how

Devastating that must have been for her family at the same time they understood that Jack’s mom was also feeling a form of grief knowing the awful awful things that her son did to a girl that she liked and was happy to spend time with that is also very traumatic the two

Families kept in contact for the months after the murder leading to the sentencing hearing however once the sentencing hearing arrived on October 10th 2022 Ashley’s family learned so much more about Jack than they previously knew and it was disturbing as I mentioned briefly it turned out that

Jack had quite the history of violence against other women back in 2014 when Jack was only 15 years old he met a 14-year-old girl and the two chatted online they met in person and at that time Jack took naked photos of the girl without her knowledge or permission

Obviously this upset her and for that and other reasons she broke up with him once she did that though he hacked her Facebook account and posted all of the naked photos of her for everyone to see after that she got a restraining order against him he broke that restraining

Order only a month later by trying to follow her on Instagram after that he breached the order again trying to follow her on Instagram again a couple months later by the time the restraining order expired in 2017 within literal minutes of it expiring he contacted the girl again he tried contacting her

Through friends and family members saying things like you’re never going to get rid of me even if I have to go to prison over you I’ll see you soon and I will turn up wherever you live she then took out another restraining order against him by July of 2018 Jack’s

Mother caught him cutting his own arm so she called an ambulance obviously she didn’t want himself harming and she was worried that he was going to try and take his own life he was angry at her for this so he actually pushed her over and ripped a door off of the hinges

Within their home for the this he spent 8 weeks in juvie and his mother then also took out a restraining order against him by September of 2018 Jack breached the same girl’s restraining order as I discussed previously this time he made a whole new Instagram account to try and follow her and

Message her again this landed him more time in juvie the month after that he was caught trying to break in to an assisted living facility which landed him another 21 days in in juvie sometime after that he met another woman and had her over to his home when the woman

Tried leaving he locked her inside and wouldn’t allow her to leave his house she did eventually leave and she pressed charges he was charged with false imprisonment and simple assault but the victim did not attend his trial so unfortunately he was never convicted of these charges but the woman did get a

Restraining order against him so by this point he had three restraining orders out against him again one of which being from his own mother by March of 2020 Jack met another woman on Facebook quickly after meeting the two actually moved in together but this woman was disturbed by how unpredictable jealous

And possessive Jack was she tried breaking up with him but he pushed her put his hands on her throat and locked her inside of the house she managed to escape out of a window but after that once again he sent this woman message after message after message this time

This woman did not press charges there were also other ex-girlfriends of Jack who commented on other concerning behaviors that they witnessed he would send these women pictures of him cutting himself and making himself bleed to make them feel bad for him he would often threaten these women or would say things

Like I wonder how it feels to kill another person so obviously all of these behaviors are very concerning not all of them are enough to actually get him in prison for his adult life or for an extended period of time but it was concerning and his mother knew about all

Of it so finding out about this past history of violence that Jack had and all of these other concerning behaviors it absolutely shocked Ashley’s family they said that had they known about the history there was no way that they would have let Ashley go see him then to add to

That they wondered why Jack’s mom never said anything or did anything to intervene when she saw how he was treating Ashley like I said Jack texted his mother some of the times that he hurt Ashley she would tell him to stop but she never actually did anything to

Stop him they wondered why his mom would allow Ashley to live with Jack to begin with knowing his history with other women or at the very least why didn’t she tell Ashley or her family I get that she loves her son and she wants to see

Him happy but even she had a restraining order out against him she knew how violent and unpredictable he was yet she didn’t do anything when he was texting her about hitting Ashley of course again nobody knew that it would progress to this point but she knew that he had this

Violent history and she knew that it probably was not going to stop Ashley’s family said that they don’t blame Jack’s mother for what he did but they want to know why she didn’t say or do anything to this day media Outlets have tried to reach Jack’s parents but neither of them

Have agreed to interviews either way at the end of the sentencing hearing Jack was given a sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole after 23 years service served obviously this doesn’t mean that he will absolutely get out of prison in that time but the

Parole board will be able to review it and I sincerely hope that they never let him out F and teenager Ashley wodsworth was excited to be living abroad with her 23-year-old boyfriend Jack seel who she’d been dating long distance for years but 2 and a half months after

Moving to Essex England the 19-year-old was dead the cour herd seel was enraged that Wadsworth planned to leave the UK early and stabbed her to death in his home on February 1st 2021 when police broke down his door seel was on FaceTime with his sister showing her wadsworth’s

Body which was next to him in bed he told officers he went psychotic he pleaded guilty to murder and on Monday was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 23 and A2 years to know that he’ll be a 46 by the time he’s

Even eligible to be out and maybe maybe longer hopefully that we can hopefully save some someone else from going through this terrible keep them off the street keep other girls safe yes the prosecution said seel had a clear history of violent and controlling Behavior toward female Partners in a tribute to his daughter

Released by Essex police wadsworth’s Father Kenneth said I think about why you stayed with Jack with everything that had gone on it plays on my mind at the same time I know you were such a kind and loving person and would have just wanted to help him with everything

That was going on story can save someone if they’re in a situation that they feel the need or they’re scared please reach out or if you have feeling I’ve got feeling about something that’s not right please call please don’t be afraid in her tribute statement wadsworth’s mom

Said your passion for Jack knew no bounds but it seems that your love trust and support wasn’t returned he didn’t want you to come home to those who truly loved you my life will never be the same without you Ashley I will never be whole again in the hearing the judge stated

That Jack’s loss of control over Ashley is what led to his decision to murder her she was leaving the country in a few days and who knows if she would ever be back once she was with her family she probably would have come to her senses

And never spoke to him again and he couldn’t have that he couldn’t bear the thought of losing her so before she got a chance to leave he killed her after his sentencing Jack addressed the family through his lawyer who read a pre-written apology but the family said that even this apology was manipulative

He said something like he’s sorry he knows there’s no excuse but his intrusive thoughts have had a big effect on his thinking and actions once again not taking full responsibility for what he did so after this obviously Ashley’s family is broken Beyond repair they will never get Ashley back they will never

Get to see her kind face or hear her laugh ever again they knew that she suffered greatly in her last moments she suffered four months before she died all because she was such a kind-hearted beautiful person who saw the best in everyone she wanted to believe that Jack

Could be a good person so she gave him chance after chance after chance that he didn’t deserve and when she finally decided that enough was enough he took her life this case is just devastating it’s tragic and my heart absolutely goes out to Ashley and her family and

Everyone else who loved her this case is also a great lesson for anybody who is in a situation similar to Ashley or has been once in their life these cases never turn out well cycles of abuse will never stop this person is not going to change no matter how many times they

Promised you they would so if you are in a situation like this please get out as soon as you can don’t go back to this person because as soon as you do they they realize how much control they have over you and if there is anybody in your

Life who is willing to help please take help from them and if nobody else knows about what you’re going through please tell your closest loved ones they will probably want to help you they’re going to want to get you out of that situation and all I can say is that please try to

Recognize these red flags please try to get out the best way and safest way you can try to contact any and all local resources that you know just try to stay safe out there try to do the best that you can to keep yourself and your loved
