This is how the UK Police deal with Moped related crimes.

From 2015 to 2017 moped related crimes increased from 4,700 incidents to 23,900 incidents in London alone.

But it isn’t just moped thefts. Their used to snatch mobile phones, as getaway vehicles or a quick way to pull up on unexpecting victims.

Previously the police have struggled to catch up to the mopeds as they can speed down side streets, weave through traffic and go off road. Police also weren’t allowed to properly pursue those on mopeds who weren’t wearing helmets and certainly weren’t allowed to do this.

However, this changed after 2017, along with being taught how to safely collide with the criminals to end the chase.

But other than looking like a bit of fun, have the police actually achieved anything with this new policy? Well moped enabled offenses in London have gone from 23,900 in 2017 to only 3,800 in 2021. Thats a whopping 84% decrease in only 4 years!

This is how UK police deal with moped related crimes not too long ago moped related crimes were a plague on London but I’m not just talking about moped thieves why you stealing it though we’re not stealing it me it’s already been broke they’re also used to snatch mobile

Phones as getaway vehicles are a quick way to pull up on unexpecting victims previously police weren’t allowed to properly pursue those on mopeds who weren’t wearing helmets and certainly weren’t allowed to do this however this changed after 2017 if they take their crash helmet off they think we won’t

Pursue they need to know that we will along with being taught how to safely collide with the bastards to end the chase but has this new policy achieved anything well moped related offenses have gone down from 23,900 in 2017 to 3,800 in 2021 Plus on top of this no one

Has actually been seriously harmed despite some of these collisions looking pretty nasty so if you like the idea of ramming criminals for £48,000 a year then the Met police is a great choice for you
