Hello! My name is Emma Johansson. And today, together we’ll be getting to know more about the cycling destination Trysil… …in Norway. When you come to Trysil, the perfect place to stay is here at the Radisson Blue Resort-hotel. Immediately next door is the Sport Lodge which together with the Shimano Service Center…

…ensures that the rental bikes are in totally top condition. Around the corner here the lift goes all the way up to the top of the mountain. And, yes, we’ll be riding e-bikes, so I’m going to bike it up.

They’ve built bike lanes on the way down, and these will present us with a challenge or two… …and yes, especially the Magic Moose, that probably everyone who’s been here in Trysil has been talking about. Yes! Now we’ve finally come up to the mountains.

These e-bikes are fantastic, because you can decide how much help you need. The more you get, the more battery it costs you. There are three settings: eco, trail or boost. I’ve decide to use eco all the way up, to save on the battery a bit…

…which means that you still have to pedal quite hard. But you get that bit of help that makes you feel super strong. Ha, ha, now it’s boost! There are several different places you can stop at on this mountain tour.

Today given that it’s blowing so much, I thought I’d stop here as there is a windbreak. And a cup of coffee would be really, really great. Magic Moose is in the blue category, so yes … we’ll see how it goes. Magic Moose offered a challenging downhill run.

Nonetheless, it’s one of those cycle runs that I believe and am pretty sure about everyone’s being able to handle. What we’re going to go out and do now, on the eastern side of Trysil… …yes, it could offer more of a challenge. Goodness! Huh! Aaaah! It’s OK.

My first experience with an e-bike like this one has been absolutely fantastic. We started off the day going up the mountain… …and finished it off with these delightful trails on the east side… Totally wonderful. I love Trysil and there’s absolutely no doubt I’m coming back.
