My favorite in 2023: Rim brakes, mechanical shifting, ISM saddle, NTN bearings
Happy Holidays David! Much success in the coming year.
That rear cassette will make a deadly frisbee weapon for a distopian future where we’re chased through the forest on our gravel bikes.
5 stars
As far as Smoove, remember to (1) let it dry overnight and (2) thoroughly degrease the chain before first use. If you skip either, the lube will not work
Happy holidays David… can’t believe you went back to Garmin… 😂😂😂🍻
"where it needs to go and not where it doesn't need to go" while it is going on the floor and wheel 😂 I am just joking, sort of hehe.
Love the vids 😊
HJC have the best fitness helmet. before i thinking why people buying this but after feel it. im nothing but agree.
A friend of mine just bought a gravel bike with the new GRX 12-speed groupset and to be frank it's a total ball-ache. Comes with a 10-36 cassette with big gaps between the cogs but if you want to use a narrower range cassette from the 12-speed road range you only get an 11 tooth sprocket at the top end. What's that all about Shimano? Just to cap it all you have very little choice in the chain rings as well as you need special ones to go with the new HG+ chain. I've got the old 11-speed GRX and I can change the gearing to suit the sort of riding I am doing. Put me right off Shimano I must say.
Chamois buttr huge for indoor cycling. Cheers from Southern California 🍺
I'd like to see something not dissimilar to Smoove Lube but as a chain cleaning tool if one exists.
Can't believe you left out the £400 Caad 12, stretching the definition of 'product' I know but definitely the bargain of the year. Hope to see a lot more of it on the channel in '24.
Love that lubretta attachment, actually a south African company called Ryder that developed, they must have given smoove a license to use. So freakin convenient.
07:43 "it took me a while to get my head around the computer I have to admit…". Why does owning a Garmin have to be like joining a secret society? I'll stick to the intuitive Wahoo range thanks.
Cheers to smooth rides! It’s an honor to protect your undercarriage on all your adventures. Enjoy that Eurostyle tingle 😉
Smoove is great!
The 12s GRX is 10 times better than their 11s offering, but CUES are the biggest thing that Shimano has pretended this year.
About smoove … looking at your video it seems that a lot of little drops of lubricant are spread all over the wheel during the application. Not so good in my opinion, I prefer the method “1 drop per link”
Garmin 530 GPS is trash
3:19 wild shifter cable run there
Smoove is fab. Doesn't clump.
Chamois Butt’r is what I always take along on my multi-day bike tours— yes, the big tube! 😊 After 2-3 weeks on the road, the space savings of those smaller packages vanish.
I cannot find the lubretta attachment for sale on the Smoove website? Where did you purchase it?
Thank you.
My man if you lube your bike on the kitchen floor why not just wax the chain while you're in there 😂
Hi David, what bike repair stand do you use/recommend? You mentioned it in one video I believe, but I can't find the video again. The stand wasn't the usual Park Tool one. Thanks.
been using smooth lube on my indoor trainer , really clean to apply and decent quality stuff.
Hi David, great video. Thanks. What kind of mount do you use fore your Garmin ?
Personally, I’ve never used a chamois cream. I’ve done 170 miles in one day, and a 1400 mile solo tour.
SRAM 11 speed Rival mech and Sunrace 10-46 rear cassette works a treat no need for 12speed upgrades
Tyre glider is brilliant. So easy to remove and put back on tyres.
you said the same thing twice at the beginning – and you seem like you’re looking off center. one of your lower quality video editing, mate!
There is nothing wrong with cable-actuated derailleurs — apart from the SHIMANO's implementation! Having huge loop of cable sticking out of your derailleur is a recipe for disaster, esp. when you are away from your bike shop, having your derailleur hanger and derailleur ripped away from your bike when you are in the wilderness!
