I Broke My Collar Bone – Now I Am Conquering a 200km Bike Ride

It’s been nearly 4 months since I last rode any distance further than 200km, I used to ride this distance at least once a month and then earlier this year that all came to a halt. In July I travelled to France, to Rambouillet to take part in the 1200km audax “Paris-Brest-Paris”. Unfortunately for me, after 80km I ran into the wheels of a rider in front of me – completely my fault – and my dream of completing “PBP” once again was over.

In the last few weeks or so I have been gradually upping my game travelling that little bit further or taking on more hills or simply enjoying the pleasures of bikepacking closer to home.

This was 200km was far from easy, I was on my gravel bike, so wider tyres slowing me down as I have been somewhat reluctant to get my road bike repaired… until now that is. At the time of editing this video I have finally got my Sonder Colibri Ti fixed so expect me to be riding that very soon. =)
