    These are my TOP 10 motorcycle passes in the Swiss Alps. They are in this list for different reasons – some are just a pleasure to ride like the Umbrail Pass, others are of special historic meaning like the old cobble stone Tremola and some offer stunning views like the San Bernardino pass.

      BTW would have a question here
      I am planning trip trough the Alps from Czech Republic down to France on 1290 with my wife but would first week of May be too soon to do that?Any advice would be much appreciated

      Grimsel and Susten are my favourites, Nufenen is great when coming up from the north, another nice ride is the Julier pass.

      did you hit the Lukmanier, Maloja and Julier passes ?
      i do think the best road here is the Nufenen pass by far
      if you get back to Switzerland let me know, im a Brit living here

      I am short on time and finding options on how much of Swiss alps I can cover in 4 days

      Quite fascinating scenery !
      But can anyone explain to me, what does " highest elevation" means in this video ? and does "m" stand for mile or meter ? Sory, I'm from a non-English country and love motorcyle trip.

      What I love about the Splugenpass is that it goes accross the italian border (south) from the swiss border (north). As soon as you cross the mountain, you get greeted by a mediterranean environment and culture, aside from mountainnuous environment and culture. This really shows how these mountains have divided cultures for centuries..

      If i won the lottery i would def have a place in Innertkirchen. Having ridden these passes and a lot of others over the years i can def agree these are some of the best & technical routs ive ever done.
