Hi, my name is Anna and, having sold my house in Liverpool, I decided to go on a solo cycling adventure with my Dawes Galaxy, camping along the way and trying to be as self reliant as possible.

I would love for my travels will take me further into Europe and beyond, but I have a way to go yet! Where do you think I should travel to?

    1. 1 degree and raining, that pretty harsh! You could rename the channel to “Lone Female finds Europes worst weather” 😂 Hopefully Italy is sun, sun, sun 👍

    2. Well done Anna! Those wet days did not look appealing at all! Was your head uncovered when you had a cold nose? I find wearing a hood or hat at night helps with a cold nose…. but mine is much bigger than yours.

    3. And you thought the Western Isles were wet !?!?! I could feel your pain Anna and was nearly crying myself as you struggled to describe what the weather was throwing your way. Again you chose wisely. Why put yourself through what must have been hell? Like all these trials and tribulations it only makes you stronger and appreciate when things begin to go so well. Italy, I hope, will soon make those days a distant memory.

    4. I think we cycled part of the same route Anna, except my cycling adventure in that area was in 1990..! I well remember the long covered wooden bridge across the lake in Luzern, and I still have a pic of the Rheinfall taken from almost the exact same spot you must have been standing in. I seem to remember weaving in and out of Germany/Switzerland multiple times on that day as we cycled along the border, although we were headed in the opposite direction having come from Geneva across a couple of the high mountain passes. At least you didn't get snowed in..! Could've been worse eh. Look forward to your next one. Wonder where you'll end up…🤔

    5. hi Anna,
love your videos because you speak your mind and you come as you are.
but you don't need to be miserable in the cold rain. just buy yourself  boot covers  (those that go up to your knees) and glove covers, they are cheap, they will keep you warm and dry; they don't look fancy but they will make a huge difference and you will find them in any motorbike gear shop (these shops are everywhere).

Where are you now, if I may ask.
      ciao

ps: 69 views and 34 thumbs up, that's the highest thumbs up percentage I can recall.

    6. Hi Anna, another great video.I loved the bit at the end when you mentioned the camaraderie of other cyclists. When I’m out and about over here I always nod and say hi, but some reply and others just give a strange look.never mind, keep on keeping on and I look forward to the next episode 😊

    7. What are transformation from North of the Alps to the south…. you definitely are made of some incredible stuff that's so many of us can only wish for… thank you for your amazing filming and stories and most importantly your feelings too….blessings 🙏🏻

    8. Personal choice I know but the Bass on the music seems to be getting loud, I had to reduce it but your voice was then not as loud as I would like for the talking causing much remote control action. May be my Sonos bar amplifies it

      Yes I'm getting old 😂!!

    9. From zero cloud cover during the day to very thick cloud cover at night could account for some of the temperature fluctuation but a 10°c difference … 🤔🤷‍♂️
You are definitely due some dry sunshine 🌞 very soon, you've not been smiled upon by the weather gods of late ☂️🌧😮
You certainly ain't just a warm weather cyclist, that's for sure 🙂👍

    10. Go Anna! Great to see you back and coping with the weather anomalies. I was a good plan to head south of the Alps. I really enjoyed the video, the scenery and towns, and it is also good to see the hard side of cycle touring. Well done.

    11. I am living vicariously through you (and am getting ideas too)! You mentioned doing planning the night before — I am curious to hear what your strategy is, planning-wise. Do you plan day by day? What app/maps are you using?
