Hi DJ, I used to work for a comminications company and they are not supposed to be lifting the covers, even if they are on thier land it is the owner of the manhole covers who has to maintain them not the businesses unless they can offer a 2hr response and also cover and damage or accidents caused by defective carriageway covers (Which i doubt very much).
