  1. You need to plug it into a port with PoE or add a PoE injector downstairs in your comms cab. The old one to the TV is purely internet no power too. You need to provide power too to an access point. you will see a few ports (hopefully) that say PoE on a switch, plug it into one of those.

EDIT: He finally did it lol. Now just need to fix the multiple internet lines that you could just VLAN into 1 line.

  2. Spider-Man even though is marvel its rights are owned by Sony so they usually put them on netflix and now before disney so they can make some extra coinage

  3. Tom you need a PoE injector to provide your AP power and internet, without the it, the AP is useless. There should have been one with each AP you ordered. It definitely isn't dead though!

  4. Something to think about for your setup being in the basement is before you make it a permanent setup, just remember you don’t get any natural light coming into that area. Just something to think about before you solidify permanently spending hours on end each day gaming there.

  5. 1 of or both the 2 concerned Ethernet cables may either be slightly squashed which maxes them to 100mbps or they’re maybe an older generation Ethernet cable that only supports max 100mbps anyway

  6. Tom trying to connect the access point without the knowledge needed to do so, was so painful to watch. I was screaming at the screen multiple times. 🙂

  7. Tom it’s probably not dead, you need to make sure it’s plugged into a POE (power over Ethernet) network switch! If it is just a network switch, it will only supply internet to the access point now power, hence why there is now power supply for it. Love the videos bro

My Mrs works for the company where you got the tornado pro light from. She watched the vlog in the bath while I was getting our son to sleep and I just got a text saying “TOM HAS MY LIGHTS IN HIS HOUSE” 😂😂

  9. Also all the Americans watching this probably think it is so interesting that you ride through peoples property like it's straight up normal so weird !!!!!!

  10. don't the WAPs need a power cable going to them as well to power them as well as the ethernet cable for a wired internet connection? (edit) aah yeah thought so, he'd not plugged it into the power over ethernet box.
