Well well well, me and @FishingwithMattUK headed down to #chesilbeach to fish for the elusive unicorns named The Cod.
We had plenty of fish between us with Matt dragging most of the smalls out, being dogfish and pouting. I was really suprised we didn’t encounter any whiting or conger eels to be honest!
But after around 6 hours of fishing my 4 and bait swung right round making me think I had weed caught in the surf, upon picking the rod up I could feel some head bangs along with a lot of weight. I managed to get the fish through the surf and I heard Matt shout “ITS A DOUBLE FIGURE COD” unfortunately this was not the case, but a lovely 8lb 1oz cod on the shingle! I was over the moon smiling from ear to ear.
It only takes 1 fish to make your session amazing! And there it was …
