This has always baffled me. Almost every single one of those caught making voice calls are in vehicles equipped with sophisticaed , voice activated hands free bluetooth phone connectivity.

As much as holding a phone while stationary is against the law if we are talking safety (rather than compliance) then surely the significant number of cylists who go through red lights, often without helmets, wearing headphones, without looking and sometimes without hands on handlebars is more of a danger. 2 wrongs don't make a right but I can't help think that catching stationary motorists is a lot easier target than catching badly behaved cyclists.
Are we pretending now that using your phone while sat in stationary traffic is dangerous?
I honestly dont think the family of the Deceased would be saying 'NICE LADY' If she mowed down ie- A young mother with child whilst looking at her phone when driving.

Such a nice car! I do drive an Audi convertible myself! Of course, driving a nice convertible (instead of an ugly SUV tank) does not give you the right to violate security rules in traffic.
