storm Babet, Flood Ireland,
Ireland battered! Massive flood explosion submerges homes, cars in Ireland
The Army has been deployed to assist with flood relief efforts in East Cork, which has been the hardest-hit county by Storm Babette so far.

Five counties along the south and southeast coasts of Ireland were under orange rain warnings.

According to Cork County Council, the town of Midleton remains impassable, with Main Street and Mill Road flooded, and over 100 properties, both residential and commercial, submerged after Babette’s heavy rainfall caused local watercourses to burst their banks.

Hundreds of people in the Republic of Ireland have been affected by power cuts following the arrival of Storm Babette.
