    1. @888davey1 Helmets are inflicted on cyclists in automobile-centric societies like USA and Australia. In cultures like Denmark and Holland where bikes have priority over cars they seem not to be needed. Clearly helmets are our piss-poor defense against motorists.

    2. Nowadays a minor percentage do, but I think this was movie recorded back in the 90's judging from the clothes and hairstyles. We don't look like that anymore;)
      To get back to the helmets: we have bike lanes almost everywhere and accidents with head injuries are rare, so no need for them in my opinion.

    3. Helmets cannot prevent brain injury. Helmets help to reduce head wounds and skull fracture. I agree with the comments below that good cycling infrastructure reduces car-bicycle accident tremendously.
