Chris, good 1st view video. Glad to see you get out in the dirt to pedal. Cardiovascular health is a very important activity. Too bad your new bike doesn't have a full suspension because that is better for your back. Get rid of that kickstand before it gets caught on something and throws you off the bike!
That bike will get you started on Trails and let you build fitness (priority #1), but if you want to get more serious about mtb'ing you'll need a better bike for full enjoyment. I understand you may have gotten this bike in part for the sake of promotion thereof, but if later you want to get a better quality/good value bike please consult with me in the future… we can sort one out to your budget.
Get some tire sealant. Slime sells sealant-filled tubes or you can inject it in bulk by removing valve core. FYI,
The next level is to go tubeless. You can convert to tubeless by installing rim tape (that covers all the spoke nipples) and using a valve stem made for this purpose. Tubeless is great because you can't get a pinch flat. It also saves weight because you no longer need the tube. You can use Stan's Sealant for this or other brands. Before I went to tubeless I used slime tubes for a long time. It's easier and for your current situation, Slime is probably just fine until you possibly want to go to tubeless and upgrade to a better bike with better wheels and all components.
Congrats on the new bike. That’s a great deal for $700.
I have the 36 volt motor. Can I run on a 48v battery?
