Welcome back to the vlog, We again took the trip to Gloucestershire for Tewkesbury Mop, The biggest street fair & Mop in the west with so much history and an all round amazing Fun fair experience, just want to say a massive thank you to the Danter family, Claire, James and the boys for the amazing hospitality.

A day after returning from Goose we was on the road again and yet another hotel to bring you some content. It was an absolute pleasure to bring Aaron here for his first ever visit and also meet up with some friends in @markmegafobialewis1214 and Smiler Jones who both are technically theme park …. Yep! Great guys and they really made the visit special.

Where to start on this one… just sit back and enjoy really, it’s loud and it’s fun! Just take in the atmosphere and banter of course and please consider this for next year.

    Thank you ☺️

The term “Mops” is a local area name for the Statute hiring fairs which became established as a result of the Black Death, and subsequent Statute of Labourers of 1351. This sought to control the wages, and conditions of employment, of the agricultural labours and associated occupations. A Statute fair could be held at any town that had local Justices who were empowered to set an annual local wage. Statute fairs were more casually organised than the Charter fairs, and did not necessarily pay any rental to the town. The Mops at Tewkesbury were held on the Wednesdays of the week preceding, and following, that in which the Michaelmas Fair was held. Persons offering themselves for hire would gather in the centre of the Town and would wear or hold a symbol of their trade and await their fate. The Mops continued in this fashion until 1870, when the hiring of female servants was transferred to the Town Hall on the actual fair day. By 1890 the hiring of labour in this manner was virtually extinct, and ceased as a calendar event when the fair was suspended during the First World War

    1. Hiya Dave hope you had a great time. Loved seeing you there and meeting you, hope you remember me I was the girl in the white Chelsea top. Appreciate you taking a photo with me 🤩

    2. Really enjoyed the footage of James Rogers Sobema Matterhorn Mayhem, the sound of the motor whine always takes me back to my time working for Rose's Funfair on their Sobema Matterhorn 😁👍

    3. Great to meet you guys! You can see why I got into funfairs living here haha, Danters really put on a damn good show, they're ruthless lol. Great vlog guys, glad you're sharing the best of the west!

    4. Wow, no messing about, vlog straight up, Awesome mush, got like 30 mins left to watch, really looks awesome, nice to see some familiar faces to like Smiler and Mark, if you guys go next year, I may join you, looks awesome this fair, atmosphere looks great too. Well done

    5. Nice paybox view on the Waltzer with Johnathan, yes we have two boosters at our annual fair in Hereford every may, Storm and Oxygen, do miss the job and atmosphere of being with the Danters, still got very good friendships, with James Snr, Clare and James Jnr and Johnathan

    6. you went the wrong day though!! I went the Tuesday expecting to see you! that's the 2nd time I've missed you going to Tewskesbury now!! 😛
      OHwelllll!!!
next time! third time lucky in 2025 haha

by the way that Matterhorn owned by those (I guess they're?) twins? really rock that matterhorn! what a machine! ran really well! went on it 3 times! shame it doesn't do a backwards cycle, never seen it do one. but it doesn't matter as it's still incredible.

    7. It's so nice to see the older generation enjoying the fair as well , seeing their faces on the dodgems is fantastic 😊
Just think Dave the Miami is tame compared to the air max you went on 😂 you won't pass out on the Miami

    8. Loved this. Maxwell over Fair-trade 110% I was waiting until this vlog was over busting for the loo when James Danter started gong on about old Mcdonald having a farm I very nearly pissed myself all-over the couch 😮😂😂😂😂😂😂

    9. Great fair, these street fairs can cram a lot of good stuff in,

    10. It's a shame for KMG how often Aaron has to stay out. Isn't there something the manufacturer can do? Every vlog Aaron has to get out🤬 of the KMG machines two or three times.😈

    11. I remember that Sizzler very well. It came from Flamingoland, It was a machine i used to operate daily when i worked for flamingoland back in the early 90's its nice to see the lighting rig on it all lit up.

    12. What an incredible Fair. You did a great job again. You succeed to put atmosphere in your video and we can feel it. You were like two children in a candies store and I love that . Thanks so much for this sharing.
