Today’s film showcases the final stage of the Haute Route, Dolomites2023. I thought that the Stage 1 race from Bormeo to the top of the Umbrail Pass in the Stelvio National Park could not be surpassed for spectacular beauty, sensational hairpins and vistas plus intrigue. However as we commenced the ascent of Passo Giau, it became clear this was going to be a sublime day and a jaw dropping race. Truly cycling heaven !! I very much hope you enjoy the story of the race and the beautiful film, including an action packed summit finish on the exquisite Passo Valparola !

    1. Passo GIau ist great, You have to return to ride it from the other, much harder side tho. Absolutly beautiful and around 8% without any dropping of the percentage.

    2. Great Video, I had a very similar crash, blood on the brain, left the mountain at 40mph, three summersaults down the mountain…had to learn to walk last june and am now back at it. I'm interested to hear your wife's perspective…..does she still support the riding? My wife is on the fence…..cheers to you Phi!!

    3. Great video Phill and some amazing videography and bike racing pushing it to the max at the end there. Fantastic to see you back to full fitness after the events of 2022. Here’s to 2024 and more great bike riding. Hope you and Jayne have a very Merry Christmas 🎄

    4. Enjoyed these videos Phill. Its inspirational the dedication you show to not just train but better yourself especially after coming back to health after that crash. Most people would've hung their helmets up but then again, cycling clearly means a lot to you. 👍

    5. Breathtaking ! The Giau from Cortina has to be the most visually stunning ride I’ve ever done – it’s a cauldron of majesty that has no equal – tough in parts , but nothing like the south side – that’s just wrong on so many levels 😱

    6. It was a pleasure to watch that video, both the riding and the scenery. Paul is riding a rim brake bike I see, I generally still fancy rim brake bikes, but also have a place for disc brakes in the stable. Thanks!

    7. Cracking video that Phill, congratulations on the great position and personal battles.
I too have been a victim of the way Piglet gains speed like no one's business on a false flat. Mortals see it as an opportunity for rest, Paul sees it as an opportunity to go even faster…

    8. Wow, that video was absolutely breathtaking! 🚴‍♂😀👋The Dolomites are truly stunning.🤩 How do you manage nutrition and hydration during a race of this magnitude? 🍎Any favorite snacks or rituals? How did you handle the moments of physical exhaustion during the race, especially on those steep climbs? 😓What are your post-race recovery strategies to ensure you're ready for the next day's competition?💪

    9. Omg!!! That’s meeee 😍 thank you so much for all these footages! Those days were so special to me, as I am sure it was for everybody who had the opportunity to ride in the DOLOMITES!!! Thank you so much Phill!!!!! Hope to see you next year!!!!

    10. Dear Phillip, I want to write a lot, my friend. The video was great from start to finish, thank you very much. The roads were very nice and hot asphalt. The view was again perfect. By the way, dear Paul, thank you very much. You were a great help to Phillip. Congratulations to you too, my friend. We watched some great footage from your and Phillip's cameras. But I am very sorry that the roads were not closed to vehicle traffic, my friend. I would like to make a request to YOUR DEAR MAJESTY: DEAR MAJESTY, could you please close the bicycle racing track to vehicle traffic for Phillip? Because I don't want Phillip to have a bike accident again. We love it very much. Dear Phillip, by the way, greetings again to my dear sister Jane. I'm looking forward to new videos. enjoy. safe driving. Greetings from Türkiye. #bikeracingwithoutmercy

    11. Uncle Phill, can you make my Make a Wish come true and bring me out so we can Ride and Race together IRL!? I promise to shout the DGDC rules at the top of my lungs on top of every climb! Hope you and your family are doing well and hopefully we can line it up on Zwift this winter.
