    1. Yes, picked up a Raleigh Big Horn mountain bike for $50 Canadian. I think it's probably early 1990s. Occasionally slips a gear, and tires are aged, but otherwise fully functioning. With a clean up and lubrication, it's fairly smooth, and cosmetically excellent.

    2. My father bought a bike for a mere $4. It was a racing bike like the one in your 100 pound video, in decent shape and I ride it even today. It had a bit of investing requred, but it was less than $15 in total

    3. I got my current Crescent 24-speed hybrid from a shop in Helsinki that specialises in second-hand bikes. Mine was an ex-rental, a cast-off from their sister shop at the end of the season, sold at basically half the "new" price – and Crescent is a decent make. So far it's seen me through nearly 15 years of use. They also refurbish bikes that come to them as trade-ins.
The same shop currently has listed a variety of bikes at a variety of prices, all in guaranteed working order and with at least a few months of warranty – and most have mudguards and a luggage rack included. These include a Tunturi ladies' 3-speed, fairly old and with only a coaster brake, but well-built and useful for €145. You can of course find them cheaper if you're willing to forego the warranty…

    4. I got a BMX for £30 and a mountain bike for £40 on gumtree but on the other scale a Carrera virtuoso for £250 at a local bike shop which only was a couple of miles old so vertiually brand new.

    5. Always worth looking up bike refurbishment schemes if you're keen on a new set of cheap wheels!

Down Bristol way there's a prison there where they get the prisoners trained up as bike mechanics and such as rehabilitation – they take old donation bikes and such and do them right up, then sell them to the public on the weekend. Without a doubt worth a look as you're bound to find some little gems tucked away.

Been before and found a Dawes Galaxy circa mid 80's that looked like an absolute beauty, was going for about £450 I think. Not the cheapest, but for a bike many consider to be the Rolls Royce of touring, it was quite a find. Alas, I can only regret not taking her home with me 🙁

    6. The bike shown at 2:13 has steel rims on it's wheels…..Run away……..The bike at 3:31 has a 7800 Dura Ace triple crank on it. ……If I was still doing Time Trials, I'd grab that tubular Disc Wheel, in a second.

    7. 93 Hard rock sport for 50 dollars, lady even delivered, bike worked perfectly, I just had to throw on a pair of pedals on it and fill the tires, reliably rode me forever basically

    8. Ebay uk has AMAZING old school mountain bikes from £70-500 ,I bought a 2001 Marin Hawk Hill in MINT CONDITION, still on the original tyres/grips, must have been sat in a garage for two decade's, absolutely beautiful. 🙏🇬🇧

    9. Straighten the wheels yourself, it's so easy to learn ,watch a few you tube video's and buy the correct spike spanner. It will save you a small fortune and takes minutes 🙏 that goes for changing crankset and forks ,its all so EASY.

    10. Couple weeks ago i bought a Giant defy adv 2 2013 full carbon for 150gbp and the guy even threw in a pair of cycling shoes my size aswell!!! What a bargain and she's mint!!

    11. One purchase 4X BMX bicycles for $ 35.00 total 3X chromed Mongoose BMX bikes one with red parts, one with blue parts and one with gold parts and the best was a Black MSC MINI with red parts, it was had for $ 5.00. All these bikes only saw one weekend of use, a Grand mother bought these bicycles for her grand kids when they visited from there off to the Garage, I flipped the 3 mongooses for $ 250.00 a pop and the MSC I will still have in my possession.

70's MASI GRAN CRITERIUM frame set $ 5.00 Bike was parted out for a build on to an ALAN, Sad that this guy decided to part out his dad MASI for an ALAN.

    12. Found a Triumph Mystique for $35 CAD. From memory, those bikes were sold at Walmart in the ending 90s in the $100 range. When I bought it, it has regular wear but all the rest was good. For such cruiser bike, it could last another 30 years.

    13. Four years ago I saw my neighbor push a like new 8 year old Schwinn Prelude Aluminum road bike to the curb and returned with a Free sign. I took it and still ride it today, only add a new tube every now and then.

    14. Leave it to Manon to find a diamond in the rough! And boy is it rough 😀👍I kid I kid. Thats actually a beautiful blue and whte contrast.

    15. well not me but my mum back in 2005 when I was a kid bought me and my sisters a bike for a pack of cigarettes from my neighbour who's son moved in with his dad… gotta love humble skint childhoods on a council estate up north 😂
