The friendly Cyclist being polite to people he meets in the bike lanes, cycle ways & shared lanes. Today I’m back in Nuneaton cycling around Whittleford Park & Lakes. This is how I meet & greet any one (or dog) when our paths cross, with a friendly smile & a gentle hello, I sometimes stop if the doggy looks like it wants a fuss. On this occasion this woman was on the phone, so a gentle “excuse me” so I didn’t scare her or the dog as I rode past.
Setting a positive example of cyclists as I explore the beautiful British countryside, trails and cycle lanes.

New concept Try riding slowly till they realise you are there or it's safe to pass. Always works for me and people don't get pissed off with you.
It's a path made by the council and paid by everyone who pays council tax for everyone to use. There is no right or wrong. It's just a matter of respect ffs
