The midges are out in their millions and it proves to be a whole new kind of challenge to face. Several stupidly steep climbs test our stamina to the max and we can only find one phrase for it: “Type Two Fun”. We contemplate the scale of time, which seems to be different out on tour than back home… and one particular night the camping gods are against us and it seems to be impossible to find a suitable camp spot…

Wales lives up to is’t reputation for being a tough place to cycle. The lovely locals we met made us feel right at home, making the ride incredibly fun. Have you ever been cycling in Wales and what was your experience? Have a great day, E&M
Hi guys.
I really like your videos. 👍
What cameras are you using?
Nice job on those steep hills🤟
Thank you for the escape to a lovely country. Definitely in my cycle bucket list. Will you be sharing your exact route?
When we were ten years old one year was a tenth of our life at that time, seemed like a long time. When we are sixty, one year is just 1/60 of our life, seems very short.
This said, I retired earlier this year and it seemed like time just slowed down. Been cycling nearly every day preparing myself for a long trip/adventure next spring. Your videos make me want to get going even more – thanks.
This is the first time I have seen any of your videos. Subscribed within the first 5 minutes! So nicely put together and the both of seem like lovely people. Can’t wait to flow the series and catch up on what I’ve missed. Thanks YouTube algorithm! 🙂
You are so intrepid. The adventures are quite amazing to witness from my comfortable home. Blessings ❤
Thank for sharing. This is a video very well done. Simple but beautiful scene at the end where you exchange a look with complicity and love.
Wonderful video, kind people and beautiful landscapes 👍🙂.
But wow u fill your aeropress with water upside down! It makes sense now I watch you do it 🤣
Hi Maudi & Eric, I'm so glad I was able to help that evening. Bikes are brilliant. Bouncer says hello too!
Bro you looks like young Sir Richard Branson 👌👌
Love your latest video guys. About time slowing down, think of it like this: The more differences/new experiences in your day, the more "folds" to your memory. Each fold makes it feels longer to get from time A to time B. Basically, the more folds in your life, the better.
I don't see anything amateurish in your videos anymore, you guys have become really good at your craft: the story-telling, the b-rolls, the editing, everything feels smooth, at the right pace, no un-necessary shots, nice encounters, a very good watch !
Great video, I'm glad you enjoyed the UK, but please next time don't pick grass and feed horses with it, it gives them colic, a dangerous and life ending intestinal disease which causes massive suffering for horses and their owners alike
I really agree with you on time on a tour. I'm just back from a 2 week cycle tour across Portugal and Spain. It really felt more like 2 months. Love your tour videos.
Cara cada lugar lindo hein espetáculo top demais hein bom vídeo parabéns valeu
We loved watching this video. It’s great see you in Britain. I love the way you are taking the time to meet people and so pleased you’ve had a warm welcome. The cinematography in your videos is fabulous. We’ll done for getting up the 25% climb!! 👍😊🚴🚴
Cycled from South to North Wales this summer – it's always uphill, and there's a headwind no matter the direction. The people are so kind though and the nature so beautiful 😍
Another lovely, relaxing and enjoyable video. Thank you both.
Great videos! Is there a name to this route you chose? Can we find it on a map? Is it planned out on Komoot or Ride for example? Or did you navigate it yourself?
Easy going and interesting commentary from two experienced cycle tourists. Wonderful to see. It's been a while since I've been in Wales, and I loved the route you have chosen. Happy cyling travels.
TIME streaches out the more you put into a given period, or should I say the more aware you are of the events that take place in a time frame. It has to do with attention. When you do novel things these grab your attention. If you're not aware of things you do, time disappears, because you weren't there when you did them. If for example you think of falling off your bicycle you are aware of every milly second how you go down how the back wheel is slowly overthinking the front wheel how your water bottle is drifting off in a different direction. As if time slowed down. You have become so awere of you, your circumstances and your surroundings and what's happening So much information is being processed in such a short period of time that it seems time has slowed down. In short the more novel (not use to, therefore get your attention) things you do in a given time period the more time seems to have existed.
that's my 10c.
How do you keep clean when wild-camping? What does your "bathroom" look like? What items do you carry?
Thanks so much!
I was told my ancestors are from Wales my last name is Roberts is that BS or NS?
I'm falling in love with your video style. You have such a great way of showing the experience and the people you meet. Magical. Thank you!
Ive been to that cafe in Dolgellau
Can't believe you cycled the Gap, the roman road to Brecon, I live close to it and have done it many times on a full sus mountain bike and that is hard, then you went up the Devils Staircase, 25%, you know how to suffer, enjoy the rest of your trip, Chris.
🙂✌🏻👍🏻
Hello @Wheels to wander , your vid' is really beautiful, your couple and landscape.
Could you tell about your bike ? You seem to 27,5 wheels ?
Thanks for your sharing.
Anouck 🤓 and Filou 🐶 from France
so glad that you two embraced my home, coz it will embrace you back and reward you ten fold.
As somebody who's biked many of the countries that you guy have over many years including Himalaya, through India and down to Indonesia and Europe to Israel, i can tell you, i have a wry smile on my face, because i get to sneak away for a few hours at least 3 times a week and just have my mind blown by my county Bucks and the Chilterns, while many are walking along just looking at the pavement.
If you get the chance one day, please try the cosy side (especially the south east) including the Ridgeway Trails, i honestly find myself not knowing whether to laugh or cry at some of the views and that's after being above the clouds looking at Everest.
Thanks John
Bellissimi e suggestivi luoghi, ogni tanto c'è pure il sole.
You prepare the aeropress upside down! Never thought of that.
Nice one guys .. I actually watched the whole video through… maybe I am hooked… well made 👏 everything you want to see .. inspiring .
Lovely vídeo, the estuary and the coffee sequence were amazing. God bless your trip!
That's absolutely true about time speeding up when you do routine days. When you are young everything is new and exciting but as you grow older you get into a routine, your life is more settled. Routine is the enemy of time. That's why what you are doing will keep the wonder fresh and therefore the time slow. I try to do something new every week, go to a new place, try a new food, etc. to keep time from flying by.
My local roads lol
You harmonic pair, your travels are interesting
Good luck
The reason time seems to speed up as you get older:
When you are four years old, a year of your life is a quarter of your life. When you are fifty, a year is a fiftieth of your life. So we inherently sense that the interval period between one birthday and the last one is shorter.
I know the area well thanks for sharing nice video 👌👍
