During the early summer of 2018, my friend Jamie and I left our sleepy hometown Emsworth, on the South Coast just outside of Portsmouth, with nothing but our bikes and a moderately sized backpack each. We were to embark on the most epic of adventures, aiming to reach the city of Volgograd in Russia, over 2400 miles away, in time for England’s World Cup opener against Tunisia just 24 days later. Our target was to raise as much money for The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research as possible, whilst honoring the memory of my football coach Brian Randall, who sadly passed away earlier in 2018. This is our story.
