Two Metropolitan Police officers were found guilty of gross misconduct on Wednesday over the stop and search of two black athletes.

Ricardo dos Santos, 28, an Olympic sprinter, and Bianca Williams, 29, a Team GB athlete, had complained to the police watchdog after alleging they were profiled during a “disturbing” stop 4 July 2020.

PC Jonathan Clapham and PC Sam Franks have now been found guilty of gross misconduct over the search, and the pair have subsequently been sacked from the force.

    1. Ahh there is some justice, they did their jobs badly, they are meant to be a trustworthy pillar of society, enforce the law correctly and fairly, most of all they shouldn’t lie but they did, this meant that they got the sack, which is great because other officers will now see that if they do this same rubbish to the public, they will also get the sack, if they do their jobs correctly then this won’t happen to them.

    2. I hope these Black people are proud of themselves. How embarrassing screaming and shouting when asked to get out of the car, shows they had every intent of causing as much trouble as possible. Respect to the Police wherever they serve.

    3. They've released the full footage from when the police first encountered thier vehicle , they were speeding and driving eratically, cutting corners , doing 32/40 in a 20mph zone , when the police pulled up next to them with lights etc , they sped off in the opposite direction, thats fleeing and grounds for the force they used , entitled prentetious people thinking they have the right to ignore police trying to stop them and continue speeding until they reach thier home, then refuse to listen to the police, argue and verbally resisting , the police had every right to immediately cuff them for fleeing a traffic stop .

    4. They were sacked for gross misconduct as a result of lying on the job in order to harass a Black couple. Same way I would get sacked for gross misconduct if I lied in my financial services job. Same way a businessman got sacked for not scanning certain items at his work canteen.

I can guess why so many are fighting in defence of the officers for their gross misconduct…

    5. Why didn't they stop when asked? Answer the question.
We live in a society that is ready to jump on everyone and everything and yet the people filming on their phones are riddled with faults and suffer in their minds everyday…such hypocrites

    6. There is no grounds for a search for weapons, this is just officers making up grounds based on nothing. Being found guilty of gross misconduct should act as a warning to other rogue officers who abuse their power.

    7. Are ee sure this is not America? It certainly looks like America. The behavior is similar. I have always believed the white people in England are the same as America. After sll George Washington was English decent. His parents stole and murdered the natives of this land. Amazing.

    8. They have been found guilty of misconduct but that doesn’t mean criminal charges were brought upon them just that they were sacked. Those officers should be writing a personal apology to the couple, to the Met they have disgraced and lied on their report. I don’t know if this is real justice but if police want better standards if found guilty of misconduct is one thing and they’re sacked and it took this long is outrageous. More needs to be done and if these officers aren’t going to be criminally charged then they should at least write an apology letter to the couple not the Met the two officers need to write it. Cause their careers are over, good luck at trying to find work given the economic crisis we’re in.

    9. Pretty funny that these cops have now made more money than these virtue signalling criminals will ever see through crowdfunding. Good for them. The tide is starting to turn against the naive cretins who think all police are criminals and all criminals are victims!

    10. Why did they speed off & evade the police prior ?? I wouldn't dream of doing that because of.the consequences. It creates suspicion. Even the wokest must grasp that ?
It doesn't validate the behsviour of the coppers here & they were like a pack, therefore a joint enterprise scenario so, all equally culpable for exvessive policing …. but the initisl not stopping for the cops is something that that wealthy couple chose to do. Did they complain about themselves in that regard ?

    11. The suspect vehicle took a right turn in the opposite lane of traffic, was caught on dashcam speeding 32 in a 20 and failed to stop for police when the can turned on its blue lights. And once they get stopped, the officers get fired for doing their job. What a lovely world we live in

    12. If this is unacceptable (which is definitely is) then what is, what the Palestinians are experiencing everyday for the last 75 years by the illegal zionist colonisers of Palestine called??

    13. Why wasn't he arrested for dangerous driving? Speeding and driving on the wrong side of the road is extremely dangerous. He should be locked up.

So glad the cops Just Giving page raised over 152k. Hopefully their appeal will see them rightfully reinstated.

Meanwhile that Bristol BLM fund raiser stole all the money and spent it on Uber and Nandos.
