A few years ago, I had a quick chat with a lady who was driving an ambulance and she told me her normal job was in the ambulance control centre but had to drive on that day due to staff shortages. She did not state whether she had any advanced training or not, but it’s worrying someone could be driving at speed on blues and two without the proper training.
