Seven years ago, Jeff fielded a phone call while working at Ibis Cycles, in sunny Santa Cruz, CA, USA. It was a fellow named Runar, from Iceland, who wanted to sell Ibis in the small country. Sure enough, after a couple years, the two met at Eurobike, then again randomly crossed paths while riding in the nearby alps a few days later. That inspired Jeff to travel to Iceland, and check out the rugged riding firsthand. Now, Jeff wants to inspire you to explore some of the most unique and exciting landscapes the world has to offer!

    1. Inspirational riding Jeff!! Love your style! Just spent 3 days on the HD4 at the Ibis Migration in Pisgah, NC. I've had an HD3 for 2.5 years now and the changes they made to the HD4 are spot on..

    2. Fuckin dig the banjo run/ridge run sequence in the middle there. That banjo has personality ya know, it sounds like it's really old, maybe a sheepskin head or something and it's chunky and twongy and worn in. Looks like you managed to have quite a bit of fun up there too, lots of good runs.
That's a very nicely done video, did you produce this or was there a camelbak crew doing it?
If you put it together, I'm very impressed.. you'll have to excuse the assumption that it looks a little "too well done" to just be a youtuber with a couple nice cams

    3. Amazing riding, Jeff, as always! My buddies and I demo'd HD4's last weekend at Joaquin Miller Park here in Oakland (Chaparral / Cinderella / Big Trees / Palos Colorados) and that bike is the funnest, most forgiving, poppiest mtb I've ever ridden. Def took stupider lines that I've ever attempted, and rode fastest yet every descent. The suspension just eats it all up, and it's balanced well both on steep sections and tight switchbacks. It just felt like a part of my body, and it friggin' Flew over jumps & bumps. So much so that I got nervous about my hang time once. If anything, I'll probably demo for a day down in Santa Cruz to try out USCS / Demo (esp Braille). I love love love this bike, and am working out selling my old rig now to hopefully get and HD4 before the end of winter. My cheeks hurt from grinning and laughing so much. So stoked! As were my buddies who rode them!

    4. Amazing vid! Been to Iceland years ago, the scenery is so beautiful! But combined with your awesome riding skills that's a whole different level of wow 😁👍Great fun to watch!
