The Danish Bicycle Culture: Copenhagen was recently named the world’s most liveable city — one of its key features being the multitude of bikes rather than cars in the streets. Indeed, it is a splendid sight to see waves of bikers pedaling vigorously off to work, school, etc. Cities around the world are now looking to Copenhagen as a model for their own urban bicycle traffic.

Recent surveys also rank Denmark as the happiest country in the world!

    1. @creativebollocks It's not an ideology or lifestyle here in Denmark. It's just a mean of transportation. It's been like that for the last 40 years or longer…long before anyone had ever heard of vegans. We don't consider it to be anything special. But I guess a person from the land of big cars, USA, won't be able to understand that. Ever wondered why there are so many fat people in your country? Try some exercise instead of always sitting in your cars.

    2. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. The Danes are not communists! I am from Denmark, and your facts are very inaccurate… sorry!

    3. I live in USA, and I'm the only one that rides her bike to work and they laugh. I NEED to go to Denmark they have the lifestyle I maintain here in the US. Wow this is just so AMAZING! America should learn something of this!
