Cycling and camping in the Netherlands. In mid-October I got back on my bike for a 3-day bicycle tour through the middle of the Netherlands. Autumn had started. I cycled through polders, along rivers, past orchards, through forests and heather fields. The nights were cold but the days sunny. A verry nice and relaxed bike ride.

The best way to visit a country is by bycicle. Not too fast and not too slow. You experience your journey in an intense way. You feel the climat, you smel the landscape and you you are a part of it. It’s easy to interact with the people. Bicycle touring has really enriched my life. So watch my video’s and join me.

    1. Another great video. As you prepare for winter riding we are waiting for the long hot summer days here in Australia. How do you plan your routes in and around The Netherlands? You seem to find mostly country trails.

    2. Great video you made of the beautiful Netherlands. Nice to keep on planning, even in these times. I do it too. No fear, but using common sense, makes you free. I am staying in Portugal for a few months now. Great!

    3. What a nice tour! I did one in that area as well at the beginning of October. The dutch weather was not as merciful unfortunately 🙂

Are you wild camping? I am still doing my trips in organized camp sites or farmer's backyards and I would like to experiment that level of freedom
