Kein Fahrradladen, der mir ein neues Hinterrad ohne Motor einbauen kann. Denn nach den Problemen, kommt mir der Gedanke immer wieder, ohne elektrische Unterstützung weiterzufahren. Die Leute sind sehr freundlich, aber man merkt, dass hier in der Stadt nicht das Zentrum der lettischen Hightech Bike Community ist 🚲♻️🔋
Trotzdem wird mir wie immer geholfen. Ein extrem freundlich Herr, der nur zwei Stunden am Tag seinen Fahrradladen führt und hauptberuflich etwas völlig anderes macht, erbarmt sich meiner und baut mir zwei neue Speichen ein, zentriert das Rad und spannt die Speichen so nach, dass die Acht fast verschwindet.
Mittlerweile habe ich kein Vertrauen mehr in dieses verdammte Hinterrad, aber eine andere Alternative bleibt mir nicht. Jap von Velo-Lap würde mir sofort ein komplettes neues Rad zusenden, aber ab Freitag ist hier langes Wochenende: Mittsommer. Dieser Tag ist hier ein Feiertag, wird aber am 23. und nicht heute gefeiert. Ich habe keine Ruhe, hier Däumchen zu drehen. Ich muss weiter fahren. Ich muss mir das Hinterrad woanders hinschicken lassen und hoffen dass mein Schrotthinterrad noch mindestens eine Woche durchhält, bevor es wieder seinen Geist aufgibt!
Die Zwangspause bringt lediglich den nicht zu unterschätzenden Vorteil mit sich, seinem Körper eine Pause zu gönnen – zumindest physisch.
Eine 95 Tage dauernde, 7200 km lange Fahrradtour durch 9 Länder rund um Nord- und Ostsee.
Ziel ist es so viel Plastikabfall und Spenden wie möglich zu sammeln, um die gemeinnützige Organisation @oneearthoneocean zu unterstützen, die mit ihren Müllsammelschiffen die Flüsse und Ozeane vom Plastikmüll befreit.
Unterwegs sind wir mit elektrifizierten Cargobikes von Velo-Lab und unterstützt werden wir von Globetrotter, Vaude, GRAVIS, Triple 2, Ilockit , Magped und One Earth One Ocean e.V.

No bike store that can install me a new rear wheel without a motor. Because after the problems, the thought keeps coming back to me to continue riding without electric assistance. The people are very friendly, but you notice that here in the city is not the center of the Latvian high-tech bike community 🚲♻️🔋.
Nevertheless, I am helped as always. An extremely friendly gentleman, who runs his bike store only two hours a day and does something completely different full-time, takes pity on me and installs two new spokes, centers the wheel and tightens the spokes so that the figure eight almost disappears.
Meanwhile, I no longer have confidence in this damn rear wheel, but another alternative is not left to me. Jap from Velo-Lap would immediately send me a complete new wheel, but from Friday is long weekend here: Midsummer. This day is a holiday here, but is celebrated on the 23rd and not today. I have no peace to twiddle my thumbs here. I have to ride on. I must take the rear wheel somewhere else and hope that my scrap rear wheel still holds out at least one week, before it gives up its spirit again!
The forced break only brings the not to be underestimated advantage to give his body a break – at least physically.
