This series documents my attempt to ride a unicycle 674km across the entire width of Latvia. I’m alone and unsupported, wild camping along the way. If this wasn’t challenging enough I’m also sticking exclusively to an off-road hiking route, named the Baltic Forest Trail! (This trail also goes through Estonia and Lithuania. 1. I raced the AZ trail race with/ A unicyclist, I forgot his name. The other racers all agree he had the advantage hiking the Grand Canyon w/ bikes strapped to your back. He finished the race, I crashed out..

    2. since you're doing trails now i say you join me on my world record charity ride its only a meare 1,692 ish km, but its enough to beat the world record for the longest journey on a golfcart ill effectivly be doing the t'railway trail in newfoundland twice leave from my house head west to the end then turn around head all the way east to the end then turn around and head back home the trail is 846km eachway and the current record is 1,645km

    3. Did you consider using a geared hub? Or just wanted to reduce the chance of mechanical issues/keep it simple? I would think that you could probably get close to 36" speeds 🙂

    4. Ed, I can't tell you how many times I've shown your image and shared your story with my Chinese English language students. You're a great inspiration! Thanks!

    5. You're dedication to filming interesting shots throughout these trips is so inspiring. Must add so much extra time and effort, but it's 100% worth it.

    6. have you considered buying a small water filter, like a Sawyer Squeeze? would reduce some anxiety of going without water as you can fill up at streams and such
