Here I try my first 4K ride-along video on my Coast Cycles Buzzraw E250. It’s a rather noisy 250W pedal assist e-bike. Hopefully you can still enjoy the fabulous Brabranstien cycle route. It has dedicated paths with amazing lake and forest views. You find it to the West of the City of Aarhus, Denmark.

I love this truly world-class cycle lane infrastructure! Here we ride it in low sun with new leaves covering many of the trees to the South side of Brabrand Sø.

If you like this kind of video please leave a comment. I am experimenting with camera POVs. Please also let me know what you prefer:

Option 1 action-focused low angles and over-the-shoulder POV (tested at the end of this video).

Option 2 tour-focused higher angles with less sense of speed and a more relaxed feel (the POV for the video’s main content).

Please subscribe if you’d like to see more from me and… bye for now!

    1. Sounds like a Bafang or other cheap Chinese geared hub motor. As an owner of two ebikes, I'd recommend getting a European or North American made silent gearless motor – the silent operation makes the whole experience much more pleasant.

    2. Bicycles make life and cities better.
Healthy exercise, fossil fuels free transportation and great for social distancing.
The introduction of ebikes has brought many older adults back to cycling.

    3. I love the main content style and the selfie camera but haven’t worked out what you’re using from that array of cameras you wear. Sound is brilliant.

    4. That’s a cool trail around the lake, especially the pass through the woods (excepting flies). Seeing the length of the trail loop, plus the hills makes me wonder how long the battery will last. You seemed to have no issues in approx 1/2 hour, or did you (motor off near end)?

    5. Nice to see you back on the air, so to speak. Knew you were still on Twitter luckily unlike say Ryan from EV Opinion who has gone on hiatus for an indeterminate period of time. That bike is so noisy, the tires are huge and so much friction and noise getting picked up. Think I prefer non-Electric bikes as I like to be sweaty at the end of a ride makes me feel like I've done some work and exercise. Hopefully you'll get back to EV's at some point in future, I'll keep watching who knows maybe the new Chinese EVs that are coming may be cheap enough for you, like the MG ZS EV.

    6. I like the view from the high back camera, it shows where you are going and where you are looking and reacting as you ride. Have you thought about changing the tyres to smoother ones, they should improve the rolling resistant and cut down on the noise.

    7. Some wonderful scenery there, Duncan! Thank-you. As you say in the Description, the noise level is high, and attracting the attention of pedestrians, at times. Was that a lubrication issue, or intentional noise?
EDIT: 8:31 – How do you identify a happy cyclist? He's the one with flies between his teeth!

O.K….. I'll close the door when I leave.

    8. The 'over the shoulder' video looks best, and still gives an impression of speed, without the distraction of the tyre. You'll have to be careful with shadows, unless you want to include them as a feature. The backward facing camera, showing you working is also very useful for some sections of a video.
