Alex and Ollie take on the Inoes Grenadiers, cycling a lap of Mallorca in record time…can they beat them? Averaging 36kmp over 312km, in sweltering heat with vicious headwinds, was one hot, challenging island lap. Would it prove too much for the GCN presenters?

    1. You guys, you guys are half human half god, absolutely amazing performance, considering everything I think it is fair to say that you two actually were the faster pack.

    2. As working I the medical industry I am quite concerned how Alex presented at the end. And 6kg lighter is 10%15% of his weight.very dangerous… interested to know his resting HR at the end. Wouldn't be unreasonable to admit to hospital for a few liters of crystalloid fluids… well done both anyway! Great sense of commitment

    3. Cracking effort both, I checked and yeah the INEOS guys are CURRENT Pro’s, if anything they cheated not riding it in pairs! Totally respectable time in comparison. 👏 Love Col Femenia & that West coast road. 🤩
6kgs lost, wow, that’s a couple of full Black Forest gateau’s, get ‘em in ya Alex!

    4. I think it’s absolutely impressive, honorable and A very respectable time, considering the challenges you guys faced versus Ineos team
Alex don’t be upset or disappointed, it was a valiant effort and you did great
Ollie you are a freaking beast….lol
      Job well done Lads

    5. I think you can be very proud ! Of course aspects like the time of the year, wind and moreover the number of people that are with you count for that kind of record. In fact this could serve as a team long distance world championship ! This would be interesting !

    6. Huge respect. Especially for 2 of you. In 1994 I did 374km in one day from Randvaal (south of Johannesburg, South Africa) to Bloemfontein. We were a group 10 riders. I cannot tell you how hard that was! I found God, inner peace, Zen, Buddha, you name it. It was horrific. The first 100km was fine. 100-200km was ok'ish. 200-300km was the most brutal thing I have ever experienced, and the final 70km I was a robot, I cannot remember certain sections or conversations! It broke me! But I think it changes you as a cyclist once you have been able to cross the 200km threshold.

    7. Man, i've been there Alex. On my 330 km ride it was 37+ C out on the roads. I bonked as hard as I've ever bonked before.

I will say, I don't think "they're quite a bit better than us" is the best excuse you've ever offered, but i'm sure it's the most honest.

    8. Nothing but respect for you guys. I´m always dreaming ´bout doing the Alp climbs, doing such endeavours like you did here, but sadly I´m stuck doing 40-50 km rides every few months… 😂
Thank you for the video´s, keep em coming 😊.

    9. What strikes you about this ride – watching it again – is how much traffic there is – and the noise of traffic when you are cooked is a horrible thing – I can feel their pain … ‘when will it end’ 😂
